"this French gem is fucked in a beautiful place in south kensington and is as cozy as a restaurant can be so that it is an ideal place for a winter dinner or an intimate date. when they open the door, they will receive the French hospitality, French jovialserver here and not the rude pariser waiter setting. I decided to order a very French court; hatensattel cooked in a dijon senfsauce. it was delicious. also the appetisers were very good. all in all it was a very good experience in a very cozy atmosphere; but eating will not blow the mind away. follow me on instagram @londonarab_foodie"

Again it was incredibly rich and deeply caramelised. This was true French cooking at its best.

very stylish French style decoration. beautiful atmosphere with reasonable lunch price. small rooms and employees were always busy. sailing is highly recommended.

Amazing environment and great food! Good if you want to experience a traditional French environment.  Great location and staff are also French. Recommend the duck breast. Visualizza piatti

One of best French restaurants in London. We've eaten there several times and it is always wonderful. The rustic wooden tables and French-speaking staff add great ambience to this near-perfect bistro.

Great French food.... I've eaten here a couple of times. The last time, I took a couple of business associates from Geneva. The absolutley loved it. The food is very authentic and the place is always full, so booking is advised. The service is typically French, i.e. slow to the point of annoying, but it's well worth the wait... Don't bother if you're on a budget, this is one for the expenses account! Visualizza piatti

Date Night. A first date, a double date, a date with a good friend doesn't matter.... this is a wonderfully romantic place full of rustic charm and good cooking. The house wine is served family style which means the magnum bottle is marked where you leave off so be careful if you are driving, but, it is certainly good enough to quaff all evening long. Get a table overlooking the square and when you go, you must have the tart tatin, it is simply THE BEST!

my colleague jacques has inherited a European that goes back to the south of France. despite the typical stereotypes of the French, who were impatient, bad in service and restless with food, he was nothing like that. in that he was very un-French by being every bit hospitable while I was with him, and always so patient when we were with the work. what surprises me about his taste of eating and I wanted to find out. one of the last night he recommended a little French place called la poule au pot to dinner.

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
