"Bar Casa Julio, a small casual eatery on the central square, was busy on a Monday evening when many other restaurants are closed. We had a reservation for 9 p.m. When we arrived our table was waiting and all the other tables were full. The dining room is a small space next the bar with a large photo of the sea on the opposite wall. There are a few more tables on the front porch. The menu offers a few specials including a fish of the day, a list of shellfish and a few other fish and some meat dishes as well as salads, starters and boards of cheese or charcuterie. The server immediately recommended the fish of the day, which turned out to be sea bass. We ordered the sea bass and the squid in ink sauce, one of my favorites. The server dissuaded me on ordering the mixed salad saying that the fish came with a large salad. This turned out not to be true as it came with only a couple of slices of tomato on lettuce. The grilled fish was fresh and nicely cooked and was simply plated with unseasoned boiled potatoes and a salad garnish. The tender squid was in a rich ink sauce and served with limp French fries. I’ve seen complaints on Tripadvisor that they were surprised by the price of the fish special. They did not tell us in advance that the fish was 26€, which was high compared to other dishes on the menu, but for us not unreasonable. If you are concerned I would ask the price before ordering the fish of the day. Service is a bit abrupt and pushy but otherwise efficient."

"Estábamos de vacaciones por la zona y decidimos comer aquí por el precio del menú (12€ . La comida es acorde al precio del menú y el trato ligero y rápido porque hay gente esperando. El problema fue al llegar al postre que nos ofrecieron únicamente dos alternativas (yogur y flan industrial . Bueno, pensamos, las cosas se acaban, pero nuestra sorpresa fue cuando llega el turno de los postres en la mesa de al lado y les ofrecen 6 postres diferentes a elegir. Pedimos una hoja de reclamación y después de darnos largas y pedirnos que subiéramos a las cocinas a ver cómo funcionan, sale una señora ni se presentó por lo que intuyo que era la encargada y de muy mala leche me da la hoja advirtiendo que como la firmara despediría a los dos camareros que nos atendieron. Finalmente el chantaje emocional tiene su efecto en mi y le voy a dar la hoja sin firmar y a pagar pero al ver que no firmo la señora se crece y gritándome me dice que cuidado con lo que hago mientras alza el dedo amenazador. No recomiendo ir allí por el trato, por el chantaje, por jugar con la sensibilidad de las personas ante el desempleo de los demás y por una actitud arisca y maleducada ante un derecho del cliente."

"Nos habían recomendado el sitio y fuimos a cenar una noche. Nos llamaba la atención los calamares fritos en su tinta, y fue lo que pedimos, además de unos fritos de merluza. Al preguntar si tenían bocartes, nos dijeron que tenían muy pocos y eran para consumo propio. Al rato, la camarera nos ofreció compartir sus bocartes. Todo un detalle. Todo estaba exquisito, pero era demasiada comida para dos personas. Nos prepararon para llevar la comida que nos sobró, y nos solucionaron la cena del día siguiente. Quiero indicar también que al hacer la reserva por teléfono saltó el contestador, pero no dejamos mensaje. Al momento nos devolvieron la llamada y se formalizó la reserva. La comida es exquisita y la atención, impecable. La única pega (por encontrar una), las escaleras de acceso al local, complicadas de salvar para personas con movilidad reducida. Recomendable."

You go to El Remo around 1:00 p.m. and ask to be given a table. They are delivered in order of entry and right now they have 3 tables ahead ... I can 't know when those who are sitting down will finish or if they will stay to eat everything is very clear and explained by the person in charge who attends. One of those cakes that are a mazacote when you cut them with a fork or spoon. Good taste and surprisingly, nothing cloying. You let her breathe and realize you can take one more bite. And it starts the loop until you finish it. The attention of the waitresses who serve is as expected, everything is correct. "Comida casera. Tienen menú y carta. Con el menú puedes tomar tanto como quieras o puedas, nosotros pedimos de carta cachopo de cecina muy rico y jugoso, aunque los platos que servían con el menú tenían muy buena pinta. La comida tardo un poco más de lo normal para servirnos, puede ser debido a que el local estaba lleno de gente incluso en la entrada esperando para entrar. Los camareros fueron simpáticos. Un lugar sin duda para repetir."
