"We had not been to this place for a long time. We went back for a dinner with some of our local friends and tried the egg cocotte with truffles, and the potatoes with truffles as well. We then had a Galician Meat, which was a fillet, tender, juicy and tasty, I believe the best I ever had with a mash potato and truffles and a pepper sauce. To finish a thin apple tart with a vanilla ice cream. Everything perfect, nicely recommended and served in a very comfortable décor. I will be back..certainly many time as I now considerer this place as one of the best, if not the best, in St Tropez. Five stars."

Probably one of the best table in the gold of Saint Tropez, friendly staff with no attitude, coke every year and have never been disappointed. Hard to recommend a dish, they are all good.

Went twice this week and tried a variety of dishes from simple salads to truffled beef fillet. Excellent wine list and great desserts. Risotto is a must have and meat is fabulous. Highly recommend it.

Well known in the area and much frequented by locals. Didier and the other kitchen staff can really cook. Great properly-hung aged beef. truffled mashed potatoes to die for, unbelievably naughty deserts. Go and enjoy!!

Dropped in without a booking in the basis of the reviews here.Really glad we did !It doesn't look anything from outside, but very different inside. We ate in the garden which was quiet and very cool.I had on of the best steaks I've had France and my wife had risotto which she loved.Really glad we tried it, will eat there again next year ;-) Visualizza piatti

This place I found by pure fluke a few years back. Looks like a roadside cafe however lovely garden at the back. The best steaks are to be found here with the most wonderful truffle mash potato. The chef here is mad on truffles and vey knowledgable at that in them. They have a potato starter with truffles which is well worth having. The Entrecote here is second to none. Very good local Rose including reasonably priced Giscles.

Second time I am reviewing this restaurant.Fist good point; the service. The waitress is nice and smart and provides good advice.Second good point: the cook knows perfecly how to cook meet and his cooking respects the very sensitive truffle. DeliciousThird good point: the dessert. A nice Baba au RhumFourth good point: the wine. In this restaurant you can enjoy a true french wine from Bordeau or BourgogneI will come back again finitively

We had an excellent meal. Angus beef fillet with truffles and truffle risotto were the highlight of the meal. Starters are a little expensive but well made and delicious and although the restaurant from the outside may not look like much inside is a completely different story. Didier has an excellent wine selection. Deserts were good although we struggled to finish. Would highly recommend this place for dinner. Outdoor terrace in particular with vineyard in the back is a wonderful touch. Visualizza piatti

I had a mediocre memory of my first and only previous visit, which was spoiled by Didier's partner, who bore a strange resemblance to Eraser-head (not his fault), and his overly exuberant style of service, and (bad) singing.Since then, he has gone, and the food is even better than I remembered.I was slightly disappointed by the truffles, which did not have as powerful an aroma as sometimes, but this was early January, in a dodgy year for "truffes".We had the place to ourselves, (monday early January, normal), but were also able to enjoy the company of the delightful staff and chef.

If you want excellent meat associated with good wine, this is THE address of Saint Tropez surroundings.Proffesional service, warm welcome.Nice table, well dressed.The owner is clearly a cook who knows how to buy organic high quality meat. His staff cooks perfectly the meat. The wine list is appropriate for somebody who enjoys drinking fine red french wine.Dessert are tasty and home made.One of the best restaurant in this part of France. I will visit again as soon as possible.Congratulation for all the staff because it is hawfully difficult to propose this type of fine meat on the cote d'Azur.

"Popped up to this lovely restaurant this week. First things first, if you're going to come in the summer, it's indoors so expect it to be warm and expect to need to book. Also, bring cash. On to the main info. Didier who owns the restaurant is someone my family met when we stumbled on him at a restaurant 15 years ago. Over the years, we have never missed visiting him if we can. The man is worth visiting any restaurant for alone. He is such a character and so charming. Now with his piano in his restaurant, we love to hang around later on in the evening and play/sing a bit of impromtpu jazz too.The setting is cut into the rock and this is exposed in some of the back areas of the restaurant. The walls are beset with lots of colourful and interesting pieces of art that he has gradually accumulated. Expect to be sitting close to fellow guests and on odd chairs with odd patterned china but it's all part of the fun. The food: mum, the pescatarian, loved the aubergine starter and the fish on offer. The lasagne starter was to die for and the chicken so tasty! My bf thought the chorizo on his pizza was incredible. And the lamb gorgeous too. The pain Tchinch was soooo good and a dessert fiend's best friend. A bit like a Belgian waffle. The moelleux au chocolat is always decadent. The food portions are substantial and for the 31 euros for a three course menu (which does not restrict your choices), a bargain! I didn't indulge much this week in wine but I did try Didier's and it was lovely. The upstairs: part of the roof is missing upstairs in the chill out area and it's lovely and cool. Wonderful for relaxing on the sofas/chairs for a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of the evening.Verdict: this is a lovely hidden gem set in an ancient village with more character than you can find elsewhere in the Côte d'Azur."
