"I had an amazing experience at Fishnet! I traveled from Great Sankey because my local chippy only has gluten-free options on certain days of the week, but at Fishnet they have gluten-free options every day. I had the fish and chips and halloumi fries, and they even had gluten-free chip shop style vinegar. The service was lovely, and the restaurant was very clean and tidy."

"I'm so glad I found this sweet jewel of a caffe. first, the coffee is amazing. but what is probably more amazing is probably the familiar atmosphere. they are very warmly welcomed by the owner. when they go up, they know that the caffe actually looks and feels like someone (very geeky) living room. they can come here with their children and play board games or with their friends to hang and play retro video games. I also ordered breakfast here and not only was it very tasty, but also very cheap."

"This is the third time we have visited The Coffee House, the first time we got nothing and left the second time we got food hooray but no drinks and the third time today we got drinks but no food. Today I have to say was the worst experience unfortunately and we won't go again. We sat outside and waited first for a menu maybe twenty minutes then for our order to be taken maybe twenty minutes at which time i went inside to order as i thought it would be quicker. I was told I wasn't allowed to order food (quite rudely and with a roll of eye there was a delay on food) and could only order drinks which i did. Another half an hour the drinks were bought out and and we asked if we could order food again another roll of the eye and she would be back outside another half an hour nothing so we left. As we walked back through the cafe had it been busy we might have felt differently but there was literally one table with two people on it. We will never return again."

"Quirky place in a small row of 1970s suburban shops quite unexpected really. Tables outside at the front opening on to a generous lawn lined with trees between the cafe and the road, a great space for families with children on a nice day. Inside the space is open and light given the large glass front windows, with a crafty vibe, and crammed with lots of bits and pieces. Crocheted items and mismatched china feature heavily, giving the cafe both colour and character. Lunchtime menu is focused on sandwiches, baked potatoes and some specials. It’s what you could call a bland menu fresh ingredients but not particularly full of flavour. Some mustard, chutneys or similar would add to the very basic sandwich offerings, and when we were there, there wasn’t much in the way of cakes or sweet treats. In terms of other details, there is a single toilet at the rate of the cafe while parking close by is challenging. The R’ teapot is popular with the locals and attracts a predominantly female clientele. If you are in the area and looking for something other than the standard chains, well worth a try."
