"Need I say more? Aside from returning to Chinon to spend time touring the Chateau and visiting with our new friends, I especially wanted to feast daily on the excellent selections especially the Brioche at Au Plaisir de Chinon. Great selection of the usual croissants, baguettes, gallettes and gourmet chocolates but the Brioche is in my opinion the best I've ever eaten in the world."

"This creperie is tucked away in one of the small street leading down to the river from the principal street of the medieval city. Creperies are great places to eat in France especially for a fairly quick and enjoyable meal. There is the usual menu which includes savoury and sweet pancakes and ice creams. Good house wines - red and rose only. The savoury pancakes are named after historical characters; being English I couldn't face a Phillipe-Augustus but an Agnes Sorrel, tasty in more ways than one, proved excellent. It was made with chicken rather than lamb, however!. Excellent food and pleasant, efficient service. Some have found the service slow but the pancakes are made to order and, anyway, we're here to relax, not rush to get back to work."

"Simply perfect, the value-for-price ratio is very good: menu at 29€ a Saturday night entry-plat-dessert. The place is intimate and tastefully decorated. The products are houses and each dish is perfectly thought out and presented. The wine is very good, the service is perfect. Nothing to say, the only regret is not having been able to taste all the dishes of the card! When we return to the region, we will not fail to return to this superb restaurant!"

"We found this restaurant by strolling through the streets. We were attracted to the menu of the day: an entrance, a dish and a dessert that come out of standard proposals, for a reasonable price. We are satisfied with our choice, it was very good. the pastry shop, for its part, probably comes from an excellent pastry shop. Madame is alone in service, sir is alone in the kitchen (for blankets.) they are very effective because from control to addition the timing has been perfect! She is welcoming and reactive when asked."

"Happened upon this restaurant while hunting for somewhere to celebrate our anniversary and was not disappointed. There are quite a lot of restaurants in Chinon and this must qualify as one of the best. Very well set out and plenty of space between tables. We opted to sit inside and booked it in advance...had we not I'm not sure we would have got a table so good idea to ring ahead. Menu was quite varied and wine list, as you would expect in France, was very attractive, Service was efficient and prices well within what we expected for this standard of restaurant."
