"Entrance to the hotel was unclear. Parking too far away from main hotel which meant my elderly mother had to walk quite a distance. I didn’t feel I could drive up to the main doors as there was a wedding on. We ordered a vegetarian afternoon tea and were served carrot and lettuce sandwiches. There were also cream cheese and egg but felt carrot particularly was a poor choice. The scones and cakes were lovely. Needed to ask for more cream and jam for the six giant scones! The service was good and there was a high attention to detail. Overall, it was lovely!"

Sandwiches very poor and basic and not enough. Scones were ok standard. Cakes were better but again very very basic.

This was a lovely place to have afternoon tea, but we were disappointed by the cake selection particularly. The staff however, were very attentive and friendly.

Service very poor only 4 tables in for tea , no one came back to offer more tea after delivering the tea, one server who probably came on shift as we finished was great, cups etc not home china just jog standard breakfast cups, scones dry

Not my first time here. Purchased as an anniversary present. Was asked when booking through open table whether there was a special occasion. Told them it was but that information wasn’t passed on. I wasn’t expecting to much fuss but a mention would have been a nice touch. Service was great, food lovely.

The sandwiches at this restaurant are delicious. They do not offer scones as part of the menu, but if you ask for them they are warm and tasty, and you can also get extra cream and jam if needed. The selection of small cakes is limited and not very flavorful. However, they are quick to offer extra tea and coffee when needed.

I recently enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea at Cary's Manor. The staff were attentive, always on hand to refill our tea and water. We were celebrating a special occasion and they even brought out a decorated plate that said "happy birthday." A thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious and surprisingly, my mum, who has celiac disease, was able to eat everything without any issues. I would definitely recommend this place!
