"We visited for the first time for a birthday celebration on 28/10/23. The food was superb. Portion sizes were very generous. The service was great. And it was a lovely atmosphere. The only drawback, was the wood fire which irritated our eyes. But apart from this, the waiter and chef were extremely attentive, courteous and very kind. All we can say is, this is a fantastic place to go for a great meal with friends and family. Thank you for making my birthday meal a memorable occasion with my wonderful friends. Dietary restrictions: The chef adjusted the the menu to accommodate one of us who has a gluten intolerance. We were so grateful and the meal was delicious."

"We recently hosted our Mum’s 60th birthday party at Rosie Lea’s and it was incredible. From the first meeting with Mikey all the way through to the evening of, with Rachel, Steve, Chloe and Lizzy, we were so well looked after. We had the party in the heated decked marquee in the garden and even in October it was lovely and warm. The atmosphere was perfect and we were able to use and move around the space as we wished which was plenty of room to accommodate 30 people. The food was delicious and the birthday cake was so beautiful. Everything was handled by the Rosie Lea’s team, we barely had to lift a finger! If you’re considering Rosie Lea’s for your next event, absolutely do it. I can’t recommend them enough."

"When looking for a vegan restaurant in Lymington, The Monkey House popped up and I am SO glad I got to go there. When arriving, I was worried about having to ask for the vegan option, but the main and dessert were both listed on the main menu. When being served, a guy who I presume was the manager in particular recommended the vegan options which I thought was great. Both the main and dessert were so delicious and so reasonably priced. I'm hoping they will be adding more vegan options in the future... We shall see, will definitely be returning!"

"We popped in for a drink and a light lunch and to do a recce for a family get together. We did this because some of the reviews were not that great and we didn’t want to book for the family if we were to be disappointed. Far from being disappointed we had a really warm welcome from Jack who found us a table in what appeared to be a very busy pub. A good range of beers and an excellent choice of wines, the comprehensive menu offered local produce and a varied selection of home cooked food. We enjoyed the local venison salami and a couple of baguettes. Without hesitation, we booked again for lunch a few days later for us and family members. This time it was less busy but the welcome was just as warm and the food just as good. Between us we had fish chips, steak ale pie and ham, egg chips. Typical pub food and very delicious. Don’t be put off by some iffy reviews, give the Red Lion a go and if you find it as good as we did you will enjoy your visit."
