Funky spot in a gorgeous, trendy, French city. Perfect for people watching. We had drinks and some tapas, I had a great club sandwich with salmon, my husband had the cheese platter. Generous portions, very decent 'bar' type food.

An excellent position besides the fountain on the pretty square Forum des Cardeurs. Yes the menu is simple, salads & burgers, but the salads are enormous and delicious and are a little different from the usual run of the mill.. Some good desserts too, Loved the Panna cotta. We will go back.

Stopped off for a drink while wandering around Aix. The weather was good and we sat outside. The location was very nice. The service was very slow and even though we waved at the waiter a few times he never got around to serving us a second drink. He said he'd come back in a moment but never did. Eventually we gave in and went elsewhere.

We stopped for a nice lunch on a very hot day. At that moment the place was very quiet, just a chef and a couple of waiters. First, the service was very fast and friendly. Second, the salads were absolutely stunning! Perhaps the best you can get for just about 15 euros. Everything was completely perfect, from the first taste of the food to the last drop of wonderful espresso! This is a must for anyone who is looking for fresh and tasty lunch!

This 300 meter stretch of Aix is full of cafes and restaurants for the trend setters and students. Prices are cheaper and you can sit outside to watch the world go by.We didn't eat here and our drinks didn't come with the usual side of olives or crisps. Inside was decked out with cool colours and had a feel of apres ski - especially because final orders are at 7pm when they close.A nice spot for a drink to relax your feet post a days walking through Aix.

This is an interesting cafe in one of many secluded parts of old Aix. The menu is somewhat limited- salads, burgers and a daily special. We had the magret de canard and the salade de cardeurs (an interesting combo of smoked duck, goat cheese, figs, walnuts and apple on a bed of lettuce). Both dishes were very tasty and reasonably priced. With two glasses of beer it cost 44 euros. The outdoor location is very pleasant, especially on a warm day. Our server was pleasant enough but essentially disappeared after we finished our meal- a struggle to get our bill! Overall it was a good experience.

Went there on a sunny day in February. Terrace very busy but managed to find a table for 5. Service was slow but I understand why... sunny day! Ordered the steak tartare with frites. It wasn't very big! The meat was mixed with a lot of mayonnaise or cream as it was white. I would have preferred my own sauces and stuff on side to prepare it myself. The portion was not big however, it was served with frites and salad. The wok of the day was not big either and at €15 you would expect bigger. The burger looked nice but a cheap burger cheese was used rather than a nice cheddar or why not Comte, Beaufort or a local cheese... may come back but will try the other places first!

We (husband and I), on our last day in Aix, ordered 2 Chateaubriand (the most expensive meals on the menu). We specifically asked for them to be cooked rare. What we received was inedible.This was not Chateaubriand! The meat was not only very tough and sinewy, but cooked to death. Mine was so dry that it hurt my throat when I swallowed it. We left most of our meal............were never able to attract our waitress, who was having an affair with her cell phone. When she finally came over to us and we complained, we were treated with disrespect, and not compensated for the meals in any way.The staff here is very young , immature, and more interested in parading themselves around the Parc Carde...
