"that was my first visit here with a friend who was often here, like his father before him. it's a bit of a one-off in today's london and it feels like it's in a good restaurant in province. france a few years ago. but all this makes it a much more interesting experience than going anywhere the waiter addresses all as young regardless of age or gender (here it is definitiw monsieur and madame it is obviously a real favorit among the inhabitants of chelsea and it was quite full in the middle of the week. we both had the lunch two courses with coffee for apparently it was, but all restaurants had to increase their prices with brunch and kovid. there is a selection of three appetizers (end and roquefort salad, duck salad or mush bisque) and three main dishes (having them with bratbeet root, chest of guineafowl with estragon sauce or filet of bark with sauce poivrade). we had the pate (w good,) beef (w good) and guineafowl (good, like what she would get in a hotel in a banquet we decided to finish with crepes suzette, which unfortunately can no longer be flamed on the table (health and safety apparently). despite the lack of drama, they tasted delicious. the coffee was also excellent. the only weak point was the wein. there is a fantastic selection of half bottles and some magnums, but we chose a poor st. joseph from a negociant we did not know at a high price, maybe we would have spent a few more pfunds for a name we recognized. the bill came for two. it is certainly not cheap, but who else offers filet of bark (a good piece also) on their lunch package? the service was very good, although a waiter seemed a bit aloof. will I go back?"
