"We visited here twice during our 6 night stay as we had been here 4 years ago and had a good experience. Our first visit this time, I went for the formule which was 3 courses for €28 (I chose snails, faux filet de boeuf what I thought was cheese (fromage, which turned out to be natural yoghurt! . My wife chose the faux fillet de boeuf from the main menu served with fries. Both very good but the service was a bit lacking as we were inside the first night and felt like we were forgotten about. Our second visit we managed to get a table outside and this time we both went for the magret de canard (duck served with sliced fried potato some veg. The food itself was very nice but again we waited a fairly long time for our food to arrive when others found us who had arrived after had got their meals. It wasn’t a big issue as we were in no hurry but it did seem strange on both occasions. My limited French always gets me by but it seemed to be an issue here."

I was sure I could find the head of a calf! very pleasant reception very pleasant restaurant in the annecy near the good dishes shops, and the veal head with its well cooked gribiche sauce

Beautiful location ruined by unfriendly waiters. Yea it’s France yes I’m British but there’s no excuse for rudeness. Our waiter Kevin was just plain off as a tourist location you would expect them to at least explain the menu if guests are not French. Kevin is a perfect example of why French restaurants but low scores from non French customers. Nice place , nice food terrible attitude.

home with a smile in this establishment located at the entrance of the old town. we were in a nice little room at first attention the staircase is a little steep. my opinion only concerns the fondue that was really insipid .fade brief, no taste. are we really in the capital of the savoyard fondue ???? mine at home is much better because it is just enough to have the right products. gastronomicly yours. After 25 years of cheese fondue experience Swiss or French version), the fondue was too chewy and almost uneatable! My wife had the fried fish with fries and tartare sauce which was ok. I have informed the waiter Gildas was very kind) , spoke with the manager afterwards. We have received a digestive on the house. For me the strict minimum was done, as we go to a restaurant for the food good) aren't we !?

Suite a une promenade dans la vieille ville nous souhaitions manger une planche de charcuterie et boire des verres , comme proposer sur leur carte . Arrivée a l 'accueil nous avons été refusés un dimanche car c 'est seulement pour manger madame. Un restaurant pas très accueillant, nous habitons Annecy et ne conseillerons plus ce restaurant. Qui était pourtant sur le podium de nos restaurants préférés, un jeune homme de notre famille ayant travaillé ici. Dernière fois que nous venons, nous avons été déçus .

We pass in front of the restaurant and a waiter puts a magnificent tartar in front of a guest. I want the same we settle down half in mo outside and order an aperitif served at the speed of the lightning to such a point that we have not finished that the ordered dishes arrive. In addition to tartare we order a tome matouille de bauges au beef genre gray meat. excellent both dishes. My wife ends with a trio of handmade ice cream. between arrival and departure, apero dish dessert minutes. Too bad the lucre rewards the user. Visualizza piatti

As mentioned in the title, we have been coming to this restaurant for at least 15 years, but unfortunately not any more. My wife has a very small appetite so we always order the same thing. A full portion of Petite Friture for myself and a small portion (aperitif) for my wife, a pichet of rose wine and two coffees. but not this time. We were told that we would have to order two full portions of the Petite Friture or else we would not be welcome. So, bye bye Le Vieil Annecy. So sad, hate to waste food with 2/3 of the world starving so will not order food that I know will be thrown away.. Should not be a problem to find another restaurant to become our new favourite.

I wanted to visit this restaurant with my family. We were approached by 2 different people managing the restaurant we asked in English for a table for 3 both of them asked us to wait couple of minutes (in English! . In the meantime another, French speaking people, came and stood in a line (after us.... . When tables were free (some people finished the meal , the managing women, offered the free tables to the French speaking people (group of 4 and another group of 3 , waiting in the line after us ... asking us once again what we want ... and shaking shoulders ... What a shame for French people and culture – seems diversity is far away from this place … I don’t know if the food is ok, because...

"We had a weird feeling about this restaurant when we were given 2 menu books WITHOUT any price at first. Turned out that their gastronomic pricing didn't match their brasserie standard at all. My friend asked a couple of questions about some dishes, the waiter...was very puzzled and passive, said a couple of times that he didn't know. After that, we were served some kind of MUSHY OLD bread before the meal. If this was a sign of welcoming from the owner, then he failed right there. In our main courses, apart from the meat and fish ingredients, each of us got half of a small potato, 1 small stick of leek, 1 lonely cauliflower, some smashed petit pois with the size of a small coffee capsule, and 1 line of smashed carrot. Looks like the quantity one would place on a plate of a gastronomic restaurant with 8 courses, except that this is NOT a gastronomic restaurant, from the plastic menu, the furniture, the old bread, the cutleries, the different menu pricing and the service which failed to describe the dishes. The worst part, was when the waiter came and asked us if everything went well, I gave him the feedback that the food was good but the veggie was way too little. He first proposed us to eat more dessert, then when I said no, he got so upset and defensive that he even pointed at the kitchen telling me that I should go to see the chef and discuss with him myself. Why bother asking your client how their meal was if you can't receive a candid feedback? Being a frequent traveller, coming from the hospitality industry, I have to say this place is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you have too much money and eating next to a canval is way more important than being treated in a disrespectful manner, and leaving the restaurant with a happy stomach."
