"Le Vietnam is located near the Northern city gate of Arles, and is opposite a nice bar and delicatessen shop, where you find mostly local patrons. The meals are delicious, and a welcome variation after days of French cuisine. It offers a very nice meal for a very affordable price, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the meals are truly great. Best is to have your meal outside on the terrace (which is improvised on the street, but since there is not much traffic, you're not breathing exhaust gases. It seems to be a nice place for parties or business diners. Although every morning many tourists pass through the mentioned gate, often in groups with a guide, tourists seem to have hardly noticed the existence of this restaurant which is a pitty in one sense, but a blessing in another."

If you look for a fancy place, it's not yours but i really enjoyed the fresh food served there - I never expected to eat something better than the one I got in Ho Chi Minh City in Arles :))

I liked this restaurant a lot. They will tell you in case they are overwhelmed: 'you have to wait 45 minutes', but then they sometimes exceed expectations. The food was very good. I can recommend this Thai.

Authentic Vietnamese food. Very, very tasty. Friendly service. Good value for money (we had 3 courses, coffee, as well a total of 3 beers and a cocktail €46 !!!) What a find! Highly recommended and we shall be coming back.

We ate here 2 of the 5 nights we were in Arles. The menu selection is very good. The food is very tasty. The guy who runs the place does just about everything other than the kitchen and works his tail off but still found time to chat and take pictures for guests.

Too bad that the waiter did not know his job well! We waited too long to order and to get our order. He got many things confused and 2 of us did not get to eat at all because their food did not arrive in time. The ones that did get their food were very satisfied with its quality. Please improve your service!!! Your food deserves it!

Great Vietnamese food in an active little setting with surrounding bars and restaurants. After weeks of bread and cheese it was fantastic to have so many fresh and crisp vegetables in many of the dishes. Good sized dishes and both French and Anglis menu descriptions. Not bust at all when we visited for dinner. Service staff were a little stretched but probably better when busier.

My wife and I really loved this restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was great, and for two people, we had wine, starters, mains, and my wife had a dessert, and it was less than 30 Euros each.Be aware that the proprietor does not speak much English, so it might help to know a little French. The menus are in English if you ask for them, however, so language shouldn't be a barrier.Plus there is ample outdoor seating. I don't know if the loo is wheelchair accessible, but the dining area is. 5 out of 5 stars for me

We ate here twice during our stay in Arles. Very popular with both tourists and locals. On.both occasions we arrived about 7pm and saw a steady increase in customers as the evening went on, including people collecting takeaways. A single waiter served all evening, yet we never felt we had to wait too long for service at any time. Friday night was particularly busy, and some customers who obviously 'knew the ropes' were helping clear tables for themselves, and setting them out freshly. The food was excellent - freshly cooked and had authentic flavours. The cold spring rolls were particularly good, as well as the Hanoi beer. We would certainly return if we visited Arles again.

"This restaurant is part of a hotel in a very impressive 16th century building. It looks very classy. However, the night we were there, there must have been some serious problems in the kitchen (or maybe it is always like that . We started with a shared plate of charcuterie which took a long time to arrive – how long does it take to arrange the cold meats on a plate? We then waited a very, very long time for our main courses. While waiting, we saw a dispute at another table involving the maître d’ and resulting in plates going back to the kitchen. We had both ordered duck à l’orange which came with Camargue rice. The rice appeared to have been baked in the oven and was so crisp and dry that it resembled a cereal bar. The ‘orange’ was not the usual sauce, but instead was four cubes of orange that appeared to have been scorched on a grill. They added nothing to the dish. It had been suggested that we should share a side of seasonal vegetables. These turned out to be big chunks of boiled potatoes (with rice! , a boiled root vegetable and a couple of dry artichokes. We had interchanges with two servers and the maître d – all were cold and brusque. We lived in France for more than 20 years and appreciate the fact that the French like to take their time with meals, but there is a big difference between leisurely and glacially slow. Perhaps we were there on a bad night, others seem to have had a better experience."
