"We needed to eat having travelled all day and my friend suggested this Auberge for the quality of the food. We made a booking on route and explained we might need to be flexible on timing depending on the journey time. The restaurant was super...no problem with timing. In the event we were late but his wasn't a problem they were more than happy to be flexible. We were late but the chef was happy to accommodate us and we enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu was all available so choice was good, the food was good and the price was good too. There is a terrace on the river which was not in operation but in the summer it would be lovely if you are in the area don't miss this !!!!"

"We were looking for dinner on Monday evening at the end of May and almost everything in Le Lude was closed. This restaurant offers a unique, no choice 20Euro menu. With essentially no option we gave it a try and it was 't bad at all....Salad Paysanne, followed by Salmon over rice and ice cream dessert. It was delicious and beautifully presented. Dinner for 3 adults with wine and mineral water came to $106. Very good overall."

"A friend of mine and I booked in this restaurant a table for two on Sunday evening, at first the lady we had on the telephone was very nice and very kind to me despite my English accent on the telephone. We went there and what an amazing experience we had in that place ! A very charming restaurant the host has a big smile and welcomed us very kindly. We had the pleasure to speak with her in English all along the evening in a typical lovely British place. The food was clearly amazing we ordered to different starters (and I recommend the "beignets au Brie" !!!), tastes were very well balanced and the presentation of the food was perfect ! Furthermore, the host came to us several times in order to ask us if everything was going well (rare in France ! And very pleasant to have a host taking care of her guests) we had the pleasure to eat at our rythme and not forced to eat quickly (as we can experience in some restaurants) and that was very very very appreciable. Then we ordered Fish and chips that was incredibly tasty ! The dessert was as much amazing a classic apple pie very very very tasty ! To sum up : I recommend vividly this restaurant all the team is very kind and very pleasant the food is clearly amazing ! This restaurant is clearly higher than your expectations ! :) VF : Nous avons eu l'occasion de nous rendre en ce lieu dans la soirée du dimanche. Au premier contact par téléphone l'hôtesse s'est avérée très sympathique et gentille. Par la suite nous nous sommes rendus sur les lieux dans un incroyable restaurant au charme typique Anglais. L'hôtesse nous a accueilli avec gentillesse et bienveillance! La nourriture y est fabuleuse, les assiettes sont très très bien présentées, Les goûts sont savamment dosés et tout au long du repas l'hôtesse nous a régulièrement demandé si tout se passait bien (alors que généralement ce n'est qu'une fois très rapide), nous avons pu déguster les plats à notre rythme sans etre pressés (ce qui est très appréciable) la soirée s'est très très bien déroulée et les prix sont vraiment corrects ! Je recommande cet établissement ou le fish and chips est savoureux !"
