"We stayed in Toulouse only five days but were so impressed we dined here twice. I had the very simple penne pomodoro et basilico which was prepared perfectly al dente with a flavorful but not overbearing sauce. On our next visit I had the gnocchi - oh my goodness, it was light as a feather and delicious. Put this good food together with a wonderful and beautiful hostess and her husband who is the master of the kitchen. Ooh la la. They were friendly, fun and we would return any chance we get!"

The proprietor of Lo Stivale is a genuinely warm and welcoming person. We enjoyed this little restaurant so much we returned for a second evenng during our five night stay in Toulouse. Food is excellent as well as service. Highly recommended if feeling like a break from magret etc.

I had gone here with great recommendations so maybe my expectation was too high, but we found the food to be pretty average. Not really fresh ingredients, we had two pasta dishes, an entree to share- it was not horrible but i wouldnt rave about it, or recommend. Lovely service though.
