"there are not many good Chinese places to get with a high food safety rating. lucky star has 4 stars of 5 which makes it a safe place to eat. the majority of the places they find on Just-Eat are rated 3 stars by wigan rat....I would never touch any eating of a place that is rated under 4; very glad we found lucky star where we can eat with confidence. eating is nice. I love the great selection of not only Chinese, but also Thai. the Thai chicken roll is great, so the curries and emptying. we are mostly satisfied with everything. the only thing I would improve is the won ton suppe. I love it as it has a lot of sweetness in it like cauliflower, carrot etc., but I would add early to the wobbles and improve the taste and consistency somewhat. his still good suppe and the dumplings are some of the best I had from a takeaway in a long time, but the broth needs some improvement. lucy star is a great place to eat with safe and tasty foods that are always consistent."

we found these Chinese about 3-4 months ago. it is not our closest to live in glazebury, but we are never disappointed with food quality or customer service.

We used to order regularly from here but quality went down rapidly...found out it has new owners and thought we'd give it another try, much better! We will continue to order from now on.

there are not many takeaways in the opposite with a vegan section, but fortunately lucky star is one of them. there is a good selection of dressed for all nutritional needs and eating is very tasty (and generous portions would definitely recommend.

Over priced, soggy salt and pepper box, all tasted stale including the chicken wings which had a distinctive taste to them, rang the shop back to state our concerns to be rudely spoke to and the phone put down, clearly they are used to these...complaint by the way they handled our call, stay clear!

Just had a takeaway from yourselves, the food we received yes was nice however we didn’t receive what we wanted we were missing two salt and pepper chicken and one satay sauce, when I then rang them to explain he said they would send it...now however it would cost me a further £10 when I had already spent £43 on four meals which meant it would then be £53 for four meals and when we had added it up on the menu it actually only came up to £26!! What a rip off! The delivery driver wouldn’t give us the food without paying the extra £10 which I wasn’t prepared to pay considering it was there fault and we hadn’t had that much food anyway!!! How pathetic, won’t be using them again terrible service!...

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
