"Friends recommed we try L'ybane in Nice as it was friendly, reasonably priced and good food. The food was not very good but the service was terrible. The restaurant was not busy maybe two other tables besides us. It took forever to get someone to...take our order. I dont know what else they were doing as the other two tables were also waiting. The staff spoke English but it did not matter as the people dining were fluent in French so language could not be the issue. We did not order anything special or unusual but when we tried to give them our order for some reason they could not get it right when they repeated it. incredibly frustrating. Two people ordered appetizers and main courses and two people just ordered mains. For the one couple after a long wait they brought the appetizers and the main at the same time. Not ideal but no problem. LIttle cramped on the table but not worth complaining,. The couple that received the food did not start waiting for the other couple to get their order. Finally it was insisted that the people with the food start eating. Waiting for the other couple to get their food. Then looking for a server to bring the food. When they asked he waitperson when to expect the order she looked shocked. Food at a restaurant! After we could hear some yelliing in the back of the restaurant and eventually the owner came out to tell us that their order had been given to another table. Assuming that is correct and antoher table ordered the exact same there should still be an order sitting to be served. Of course there was not. No apology we waited for them to put in the order. THe couple that received their food offered to share and then were too guilty to start eating. The food was average, the service deplorable and i did not see any reason to ever return."

we've been enjoying eating here yesterday. good menu, good eating, beautiful service. great to go to a restaurant where they listen to menu choices and advise without trying to sell. great value and a beautiful evening as a result.

We have been here earlier and come back every time when in Nice. You can order other meals than meses of course but we take meses every time. Our helpful waitress recommended 6 different meses and red wine. They were tasty. It was a nice...dinner outdoors.

I´m really in love L'ybane restaurant in Nice. Simply: food is always so good, made with tender touch and passionate. And you are always welcome. Lebanese food is very easy. Don´t be afraid. Tapas are tasty - especially hummus. Restaurant is little expensive but worth for the money...

we did not have lunch before 14:00 when most (good) places were closed, and I was glad to come to this place. lots of space, a great location, ok prices and good reviews on tripadvisor; the reality is that eating is mediocre, simple. (suitable to be Lebanese) and we had a swarm of flying. the wine was decent, and it comes for only one person at a small price too.

My friend and I enjoyed a absolutely lovely evening at a small table outside, sharing rose and small plates as our meal. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient, and the food was fresh and delicious. Larger plates seemed a bit expensive, but not outrageous compared to some of the other restaurants we went to in Nice. Definitely recommend to vegans and vegetarians.

we had about a dozen restaurants on our list that we thought about trying out, but not a single one of them was working on Easter Monday evening. wandering around, we finally found this place open - and maybe it was just good luck that all others were closed. we had a really nice meal, opting for two of the suggestions, a Chefs and a Vegetarian Mezze plate. we hardly managed to smash it, as the portions were quite big. finally we left, reconciled with Nice that seemed to be a village with all places closed that day.

I went there for a dinner with a friend because I've been recommended this place. I must say the food was really good. I ordered a mix of different mezze which was really good.On the negative side:1) It was overpriced (even for Nice!). For instance, cocktails are 12€ and the main course was 20 - 25 €. 2) The waiter was not really service-minded. He kept on coming back to our table not letting the time to chat and go through the menu. But it took forever to get the bill and to pay... Moreover he clearly treated the clients differently. On our first night in Nice, we came here for dinner.It's a nice, chilled out place serving up a bunch of Mediterranean type dishes. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of menu but good, hearty food in my opinion.We got a seafood platter to share which came which red herring, king prawns as they're meant to be - giant in size, heads still on, moussaka, hummus, flat breads, chips and salad.
