Mamma Sapore - Menu

Arrived about mid afternoon in the boiling heat. The seating area outside was well shaded and the service was good. The pizza was okay, however not the best we had in Rome. The rice ball was different but very nice. Not over priced either.

Early afternoon we had a quick lunch in Mamma Sapore. Is small with few tables but cozy and is situated next to Navona square. We ate pizza margarita and pizza with mushrooms. Very tasty pizza, with excellent raw materials and very crispy dough. Prices are...normal for this kind of food in Rome. For a quick food brake, is a decent choice.

Bel posto, il personale era gentile (penso che uno dei giovani camerieri avesse un appuntamento con altri turisti di lingua inglese quando ci siamo seduti per la prima volta, bene per lui). Ho molto apprezzato la mia pasta alla amatriciana. Buona bruschetta, buon vino rosso della casa. Mia figlia ha ordinato un'altra pasta, che era anche buona.

Ordered rib in beef expecting actual ribs, but what came was what looked like a generic cut of beef with no ribs to be seen, but with a lot of tendons. Beef tastes like cardboard and was extremely hard. Not to mention, the tendons added...to the difficulty. It is a serious mouth exercise just to chew on it. Requested for a discount but they refused. Will not recommend.

We got takeaway pizza here one day and it was decent. We needed something quick again the following day but wanted to sit and eat so we stopped by again. MISTAKE! We asked for still water and he brought us a bottle which clearly said...“sparkling” water. We asked about it and he said it was a reused bottle and filled with tap water. And they still charged us 5 euro for it!! We questioned it again and were just rubbed the wrong way by that so we paid for our tap water and left...

I just came back from a school trip from rom and last day a few of my friends and I was looking for a nice place to eat. we came over this restaurant while we looked at the menu and the beautiful decorations inside....We decided to order in and we were warmly welcomed by a beautiful dame called angelica. she was very sweet and helpful and made our experience pleasant. eating was amazing, between us we ordered 2 margarita pizzas, a carbanara and a garlic bread. all were fresh and really delicious. very impressed and would recommend 100% if they are looking for somewhere quiet and cheap!

Evitate questo ristorante italiano non autentico. Il piatto di pasta era carico di sale e pepe e mi ha causato un malessere fisico allo stomaco. Ho provato a parlare con il cameriere albanese che è stato scortese e incolpevole e ha cercato di giustificare questo piatto disgustoso. Il cuoco non è italiano e questo spiega chiaramente perché il piatto è stato così brutto. Ho rifiutato di pagare per il piatto, nonostante la insistenza. Le persone devono lamentarsi. Quando il cibo è cattivo, devono farlo sapere. Questo invierà un messaggio che non è abbastanza buono. State alla larga se non volete avere un mal di stomaco. Così deluso!

We only sat here because of the alleged happy hour on pizza and soft drinks. Pizza was well sized, fairly priced and average with regards to taste. Upon asking for the bill, the restaurant’s name was not listed, which I found strange and we were...charged €8 for two330ml cans of coke. Upon reminding the staff about the happy hour we were informed that one only gets a free soft drink when buying a slice and not a whole pizza. I fail to understand the logic behind such an offer and sure enough, the morning after having dinner there the offer was changed. Two/three tables walked out of the place after being seated and seeing the menu which I found strange. It would have cost just a bit more to...

We were very disappointed by our experience here and feel slightly ripped off. We stopped for lunch on a sunny afternoon and were given a table under the canopy. We ordered l'acqua naturale but what we were served was tap water in an old frizzante...bottle. The pizza was a few Euros more than we had paid in similar places but I put that down to location and overheads. When it arrived we were very disappointed, it was by far the worst pizza we had eaten in Rome. Still we at up and asked for the bill, we were then shocked to learn that we had been charged 6 Euros for our bottle of tap water. I complained but the waiter wasn't interested.
