Martin Wishart At Loch Lomond

the second time I experienced this restaurant and must say that both times were exceptional. great staff and menu very clever and really an experience.

We were celebrating our engagement and couldn't have asked for a better place to be. Service was perfect and the food was outstanding. The scallops risotto a particular highlight. A special day made even better!

We had the 6 course tasting menu and both the food service were superb. Each dish is a masterpiece and the waiters explain every course as they serve it. A bottle of Rose was £36 not too bad for this kind of establishment. Definitely a place for the special occasion and sitting in the Cameron House Hotel, which is a great venue too.

We had a late dinner at Martin Wishart, which was overall very enjoyable. We had a tasting menu. Not all of the dishes were equally persuasive, but most boasted wonderful combinations of flavours. The sevrice was spot on. The only fault was that the somelier did not have any idea of what he was doing he didn't made an impression of a trained person.

Delicious meal at Martin Wishart. Minor complaint that the menu was quite seafood heavy, but a fair number of non-fish options to keep the picky eaters happy. My foie gras and praline was very well balanced, and my main course was perfectly cooked. Dessert was a little forgettable but the amuse bouche and petit fours were perfect. Service was discreet but friendly.

Having now enjoyed all of the MW restaurants we can safely say that they represent the best of Scottish cookery and gracious service. A thoughtful and well executed menu with personalized wine pairing provided a wonderful evening. The room may appear a bit formal but the service is friendly and skilled. Good job to the MW team and we will see you again on our next trip to Scotland!

We had first-class food, wine and service. The waiter who specialised in the cheeses available was extremely knowledgeable and able to offer excellent cheeses that suited our tastes after a brief discussion. The meal was a wonderful experience but has to be classed as a very special occasion treat as even from the cheapest lunch menu we were able to spend a significant amount for one meal. So be prepared to spend to enjoy.

Went for Sunday lunch at £25 for a choice of 2x starters, mains and sweets Nice food well presented, where I do have a problem was that at the beginning of the meal picking your food they want all 3 choices picked there and then not as you would normally do by choosing a sweet after the mains, standard a la carte menu is approx. £60 for 3 courses, would they want you to pick your pudding at the same time as your starter if you were paying that. This type of quick picking is ok for a Xmas party night at a local hotel or brewers fayre but not for an esteemed establishment in one of Scotland’s premier hotels.

Excellent food interesting, carefully thought out and prepared combined with a pleasant, calm room that doesn't distract. The Maitre d' was ever so slightly abrasive and the sommelier just performed a parrot fashion recitation of each wine rather than being prepared to engage in any kind of conversation, but that's nit picking really; the service overall was excellent professional yet friendly. The evening was a family clebration so my wife and I came with our sons (13 8) we were all made to feel entirely welcome and all four of us relished our tasting menus. That it matched our four rather different appetites and tastes is a great reflection on both the kitchen and front of house. Expensive...
