Massarella - Piatti

Not the best. Poor veggie options. Greasy no eggs. Small portions. A shame as I have eaten lunch here a few times and had no complaints. Disappointed.

Clean well set out restaurant. Felt safe to be in, especially at this time. When asked about an allergy staff were very well informed. Will call again when in the area. Food was hot with a varied menu to suit many tastes.

We visited the shopping village and sat outside the restaurant for a coffee and then ordered a meal. We stayed outside as we had the two dogs with us. There are tables with parasols and tables in a shaded area. The food was tasty and...nicely presented. I had cottage pie. Prices are reasonable.

After walking from Birchover we had a lunch break here. Their Covid precautions were properly observed and the staff were efficient at taking our orders. There is some good outdoor seating, some of it in the shade. The food and drinks were good. Public toilets...are nearby provided by Peak Village.

Stopped for a quick bite here as have had reasonable meals here many times. Today the Cumberland sausage was too hard to cut on.the outer ring. Pointed this out to.staff member had a smile and was.told she would mention it Sorry but no.one came afterwards...to apologise I wasn't looking for another just wanted to point out how bad it was. Called in for food, fairly busy, food sounded good on the menu, so we ordered jacket potato with roast chicken, crispy bacon, tomato and mayo, sounds good yes, reality is very different, chicken didn't look cooked let alone roasted, the bacon was the opposite of...crispy and the potato was dry and powdery, only thing right to the description was the tomato and mayo, very disappointing

Two weeks before this visit we had dropped in for a drink and a bite but saw the delicious range of breakfast food available. We returned today with the specific intention of having breakfast. The food was superb, service was very quick and friendly...and the cost was very reasonable. We especially remarked on the fact that eggs were fried to order, not kept on a hot plate. We intend to return to sample more of the food available.

Felt a little wary at going into cafes at this strange time but Massarellas had done their best to distance the tables and put markers on the floor. The drinks were good, however, whilst waiting in the queue to order, the couple behind me came...up right beside me to peer into the food cabinets and I had to ask them to move away from me. they obviously thought it funny but why are people so stupid and unthinking.
