a small but fine restaurant. very friendly staff. the food is served quickly and hot. it actually tastes like in Thai - aromatic, sharp, crisp, fresh. simply delicious. and the price-performance ratio is great.

the massaman curry tastes excellent. the pad thai gai was in order. not overarching, but you've become tired. In the tom yam gung suppe, a spoon of chili paste would have delighted us more.The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is cozy.Haben for the suppe, two main dishes and two drinks paid 32€.

beautiful place, if you want to eat thai rooms not huge, beautifully decorated ambiente with good reception well sorted menu and diner card with photos that deserve to be bigger and refreshed please note that the lyrics are in german and are not menus in English!! not good ... price-performance ratio is right. no payments with credit card!! also not good, I still recommend Visualizza piatti

we wanted to eat 8 friends at mekong, but due to a misunderstanding we had reserved only for 6 people and although 16 places were still free and not reserved, the chef was totally inflexible and just too cheeky. he would have had to turn and push together only two tables, but that was seemingly too much. I have never experienced such an undamaged behavior in a restaurant. once and never again, even if it seems good to eat. there are plenty of other good restaurants!

we were four in Thailand and have to visit our Thai before the place. in thailand we have tried many different things in 4 weeks at different locations. by the way, it's fantastic to eat. Unfortunately, I was only a massamann on the map. my court was typical Thai. but I didn't know. therefore I can only compare it to a limited extent. it was really delicious. also the typical Thai salad good. but there is nothing like our favorite restaurant in Thailand. ;-) is worth visiting. the chef was always present.Hat looked where to bring drinks. the described negative experiences we have not made gottseidank!Bessser always goes, therefore only 4 stars!

I was in Frankfurt about 10 days ago, and Thai restaurants were all over the place. Essen, by contrast, hasn't discovered Thai. Mekong is Essen's only true Thai restaurant, even though the cook, according to the nice English-speaking German owner, is Laotian! Mekong has all the standard dishes, nothing really out of the ordinary. I had simple vegie spring rolls which were quite good, and then some good but not exceptional green curry chicken which the English-speaking waitress assured me would be "Asian spicy", but it wasn't. as a native eater, many Asian restaurants are well known to me in eating. now we wanted to expand our range and went to the mekong spontaneously because of a recommendation. Although it was Saturday night, we got another table. the chairs would have to be equipped with felt gliders at the beins, the slide makes a krach as in the mensa! very uncomfortable and loud.
