"We visited the Michelberger restaurant for a pre wedding dinner with our daughter and her friends. We have all been there before and enjoyed the tasting menu but not since the pandemic. On our last visit I gave it a 5* review. We were very interested...to learn that they have established their own organic farm and would be serving produce from that. We have eaten at Cookie’s Cream and also a restaurant local to us in Brighton called Botanique and had some truly wonderful vegan food. The menu started off with promise as the courgette on taco and stuffed mushroom were delicious. We then moved on to mangetout in a coconut dressing, Chinese lettuce root with a tamarind and sesame dressing and heritage tomatoes with a lemon balm and mint dressing. This last course really divided the crowd as many of us really did not like tomato with mint. We chose to have an additional two plates of scallop with cucumber at €21 each. This was just one scallop diced with cucumber, delicious but a rip off. We all chose the meat main course which was confit of chicken with chard. The meat arrived covered with an enormous chard leaf which was stringy and chewy – chard needs to be eaten young. Underneath was a small piece of chicken thigh. I believe that the confit process would have ensured the chicken was cooked but its appearance and texture was raw with flabby skin most unappealing. After several complaints our maitresss d’ agreed to get the chef to flame the chicken to ensure it appeared edible. With a wedding the next day, we did not want to risk anything. Even after being under the grill my piece of chicken seemed raw and I decided not to eat it. Our maitress d’ was most apologetic and produced a round of shots to improve our mood. We chose then to have some desserts (which were extra to the tasting menu). These were actually very good, if a little unusual. Our overall impression was that there really wasn’t enough actual cookery to justify what they are charging for food they are producing themselves. Most of the dishes consisted of a steamed or raw vegetable with a dressing. Compared with what is achieved by the restaurants cited above, they have a long way to go to make this work."

Really lovely place to eat! You select a number of small dishes to share amongst the table- every one we got was delicious. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.

Great experience but a bit over priced. A combination of ingredients that worked, fresh organic locally grown products. Very professional staff, a set menu was €39 pp plus drinks, I felt this was a little over priced.

the brunch is a self-service buffet. super healhy and vegan friendly, great hot drinks and cold juices. Eggs, homemade cakes and jams, cheese and meat. we sat in the yard that is super sweet. we will be such a good mood and friendly staff. Visualizza piatti

Sitting in the courtyard has a great atmosphere, and the food was good, but not THAT good or interesting...menu is a bit “faddy”. Some of the plates were quite dull. Our chicken was dry. Overall, a bit more style over substance, but quite a fun...place to go.

Had dinner with my wife at Michelberger a few weeks ago. It's fun restaurant in a busy section of Berlin. The room has tile walls and long tables and looks out over a busy street. Michelberger grows much of the organic produce used in the...restaurant at a dedicated farm. The menu changes every day and it's basically a tasting men. The only choice is with-meat or vegetarian. My wife and I both had the with meat menu and a nice bottle of wine; we enjoyed it very much. Service was professional and friendly. The restaurant handled our need for gluten free dining perfectly, which is always appreciated.
