"What a find! A cafe that accepts dogs and yet has great food and service. We had fish and chips, you can have garden peas or mushy peas with your meal. The large meal had a humungous piece of fish, beautifully cooked with crisp batter. We also had the kippers, from the nearby smoke House,with toast and scrambled egg. It was lovely and the portion size very good. On the second day we had excellent crab sandwiches with a side salad. Can recommend highly. Our dog was well looked after with sausage pieces which she appreciated. There are lots of fish and chip shops in Whitby that don't allow dogs. Don't worry as you and your fur babies are well cared for here."

I traveled far for breakfast, but despite the website saying they open at 9am, the chalkboard says 9:15 and they are still not open. It's frustrating and misleading.

Read the reviews and it didn't disappoint, gorgeous big brekky, wife had kippers an scrambled egg...friendly staff, good value. The place was busy which tells its own story.

Lovely food, excellent attentive and very pleasant staff. Couldn’t ask for more. Very unusual bannister rail leading to the toilet, a work of art. Well done to the staff for your excellent service.

Really pleased to see kippers on the menu after walking past the smokehouse. Kippers were amazing with delicious scrambled egg. A friend had the kipper pate which looked very tasty. Yummy cakes to follow. Very reasonable price and friendly service.

We were impressed by the warm reception from the fantastic staff, and even our dog was welcomed with a plate of sausage treats at the cafe. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back when we visit Whitby again. The dishes were tasty and reasonably priced as well.

Called in for a cuppa now as my husband wasn’t well. The stuff was excellent by bringing him a glass of water ASAP. Also extra biscuits and butter for scones and even sausage for the dog. Thankyou to the staff who looked after us and came to check he was feeling better we will be bk in couple of weeks when we visit the Christmas market Sam an nick Flamborough

After a terrible morning looking for breakfast, we stumbled upon this restaurant and were surprised by how accommodating the staff were. We ordered coffee, tea, and two breakfasts, which were served hot and proved to be surprisingly enjoyable. The prices were reasonable and after a couple more drinks, we left feeling satisfied. We will definitely consider visiting this place again the next time we are in Whitby, and may even try their lunch menu.
