"We were greeted by a welcoming host and shown to our table which was laid up with attractive crockery. Gladly, they were flexible with our drinks order as my partner does not drink tea the service was friendly professional. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the Afternoon Tea expected a much more luxurious offering for £25 per head. The selection of food was limited portion sizes incredibly small for the price. The sandwich flavours were very boring, served on bread that was already going dry overall just really bland. The scones were ok warm tasty but not convinced that they were homemade which is again disappointing for the price. Nice to get 2 scones, especially considering how tiny the rest of the portion sizes were, however the quantity of the accompanying jam cream was quite laughable. The sweets were tasty we were given a nice varied selection, however again, the portion sizes were much smaller than expected. For £25 per head, you absolutely expect either quality or quantity… sadly in this case we left feeling like we’d had neither. Not a terrible experience by any means, but we definitely wouldn’t come back for Afternoon Tea again wouldn’t be able to recommend it to any friends or family."

the afternoon was beautiful. the sandwiches, scones and deserts were beautiful and fresh. just a good balance. the tee was also good from the Australian firm t2.

the employees quite inexperienced- consistently wrong ordering, missed and ordering, wein spilled over the place etc. but very friendly and sweet, so that was good. only not the luxury experience we expected, given the prices.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and scones were tasty, but there were fewer cakes compared to previous visits. Instead of the usual three or four cakes each, we only had two tiny petits fours each.

we enjoyed the classic afternoon tea at the guildford manor hotel on mothering sunday. the choice of sandwiches and cake was very nice, the scones were especially good. all the compliments of t2 melbourne breakfast tea served in beautiful dishes.

We were very disappointed with the whole venue and will not go there again. The food trays were empty, the quality of the food was very poor, there was no one around to help us and the coffee machine was not working, which was just as well I suppose!!

the restaurant itself was good, but the service and eating were less than satisfactory. the appetizers that were only brot, olive oil and balsamico vinegar, took 40 minutes to arrive. my wife ordered the hunch, but took her another 20 minutes, so an hour as we ordered it to say it was not available. so she ordered the risotto as recommended, but that was bland and tasteless. I ordered a rare steak that came somewhere between medium and medium-sized rare. at breakfast the cooked eggs were cooked in a round to the height of the hard cooked

None of us in our group is disabled. I had called ahead, but it didn't seem like any accommodations were made when I arrived. I asked how we could enter the restaurant and was told there were only stairs or a long, out-of-the-way slope. There was no disabled parking near the building as indicated or suggested. The step up and down into the toilet also wasn't disabled-friendly. I would have appreciated the opportunity to have our tea cups refilled and a hot water option, but it wasn't offered. The food was decent, and the tea we had was good. The staff were pleasant and didn't rush us.
