"One of my fav shops, since it's recent refurbishment the place is more spacious. Restaurant not cheap, moderate price but bright airy so good for wheelchairs pushchair. Good for picking birthday presents as lots of smellies, candles, books, clothes, some household furnishings, seasonal decorations. Plants of course for indoors out as well as a huge range of bulbs pots. Currently vegetable plants starting to go out. Includes cat dog pet areas (accessories). Sells chicken rabbit accessories, hutch, cages runs. Lots of pond fish, Plants, ponds accessories too. Offers a service to put compost bags directly into ur car. Currently has an amazing selection of sheds, outside buildings for the garden greenhouses. Outdoor play area for kids next to restaurant."

Menu is not clear. It says sandwiches come chips or salad. However I had to pay extra for my chips as apparently this doesn't apply to the sandwich I choose. (And chips were then brought separately were cold!

We loved our experience at this beautiful, spacious location filled with lovely gifts, plants, and garden furniture. The animal store is fantastic, with animals that are clearly well cared for. The restaurant is wonderful as well—spacious and impeccably clean, with high-quality ingredients. Our breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed our lunch so much the day before that we returned. The service was efficient and friendly, with a special shout-out to the delightful Mia. Everything was exceedingly well done. We will definitely be back and hope to try the afternoon tea, which looked fabulous!

Oh wow! Our visit today was incredibly disappointing. I remember that for many years, Notcutts was the go-to place for all Christmas decorations and much more. However, the entire store was so bare that I couldn't believe my eyes. We approached a staff member to inquire about the missing Christmas merchandise, but she looked at us as if we were crazy and spoke to us condescendingly. She mentioned, "Oh, we haven't had anything like that since the start of Covid." While we were there, we noticed that everything was overpriced compared to other garden centers. We definitely won't be returning anytime soon, which is unfortunate because this used to be one of the best garden centers around.

"Used to be good, but had a poor experience last night. We went as a family of four and had a meal in the left bank restaurant. The table service was quite poor and the bill had a £13 service charge slapped on automatically. The total bill was £126 plus tip, making £139. I left £130 truly believing it was sufficient under the circumstances. The waiter came back twice saying it wasn't enough money. I explained once that the service charge was optional and that I have left enough including an appropriate tip. This was rejected and the waiter again insisted I pay the full amount as it was not enough. I explained again about the tip. He came back yes again to query how I would make up the shortfall in the bill. I was forced to stand my ground and insist in front of everyone that I wasn't paying the full tip. Automatically slapping on £13 tip for poor service is one thing. To then repeatedly question and confront a customer over not paying the full tip in front of everyone is quite another thing altogether. I left the restaurant feeling both humiliation at the confrontation but also annoyance knowing that actually I was right. The tip is optional, discretionary, and voluntary. Putting it automatically on the bill could be seen as a helpful reminder, thank you, if you want to see it that way, but repeatedly insisting it is paid and that I have made a mistake in leaving a smaller tip and ignoring my explanation is just plain wrong."
