"My boyfriend and I booked a table for the evening of 24 December 2016 for ourselves and another couple, in the Zafferano. We had to pay each CHF20 on top of the bill, to be able to have a table by the window, which is rather surprising and of poor taste. We did get a table by the window, but not in the Zafferano restaurant, but in an area off by the side of the restaurant which lacked the Oriental style/atmosphere that is the theme Zafferano.The service, considering what the hotel and its restaurants claim to offer, was poor. We were offered some appetizers in advance of the starters. The plate, on which these appetizers were served, remained, once empty, unclaimed in the middle of our table, even after the starters were served. We had to do our own refills for the water, even after having been brought new bottles of water (!) and were in general given the feeling of being an after thought for the waiters. There was a larger group just off to our side and the waiter seemed to know the guests personally. He was very much attentive to this group and seemed to forget about us.In terms of the food, it was nice, but overpriced. The dessert buffet was a disappointment in terms of selection and presentation."

small menu with some Swiss classics like "brri spelt," cordon bleu, but then also fish dishes, French food. we were very satisfied with the offer, the quality and the preparation. happy again!

plus points (brunch-:) rich selection- along with the buffet there is still a main meal served- good quality of the speisenminus points-: the service staff is very friendly but easily overwhelmed and uncoordinated.

Tutto ottimo, il chateaubriand ECCELLENTE! Servizio professionale e cortese. La qualità delle materie prime é notevole, buone combinazioni di sapori, un po' poco luminoso, ad una certa ora non si vede più nel piatto. Manca un amouse bouche dello chef all'arrivo!

we had chosen a beautiful, warm evening to stay in the frame of a weekend offer in the panorama. a three-speed was included in the price. in contrast to recent reviews, we were served very well and spontaneously during the night on the balcony. to the first floor we chose a tatar and a mixed salate, but also had a fish as a further selection. a selection of 3 menu suggestions, including a chateaubriand with bernaisesauce. the cooking was fantastically hit and the rosemary beefs have rounded off the dish delicious. are generally well hit, not too much and not too little and this has then also left space for a fine dessert free. again here was a selection between glace, fruit salad and hot cho...
