"Mesón de toda la vida junto al acueducto de Plasencia. El propio dueño te atiende en la puerta. El salón es amplio y tanto el ambiente como el servicio de mesa y camareros me recordó a una sala de bodas. Servicio impecable. Aunque tienen menú, nosotros fuimos un día festivo, por lo que pedimos de carta. Además de la gran variedad, hay platos del dia fuera de carta que van rotando. Nosotros pedimos Torta del Casar Gratinada y Migas Extremeñas para compartir, a modo de entrantes. Platos tipicos de la zona que se notaban caseros y con mano a la hora de hacerlo, cuidando el buen producto. De principal, pedimos Entrecot, sin duda un productazo servido en el plato con el punto exacto que has pedido. El servicio fue muy profesional a la vez que cercano, amable y divertido. Ágiles en todo momento y pendiente de nosotros tanto por si queriamos algo más como en el punto de la carne o si estaba bueno. Comimos de lujo a un precio razonable que bien valía tanto la buena comida como la maravillosa experiencia. Casa Tomás pasa a ser uno de nuestros restaurante de confianza al que sin duda volveremos. 100% Recomendado. NOTA IMPORTANTE. Solo se puede comer con reserva. "Add Parador de Plasencia to the top of your list of hotels to stay at in Spain! It is located in Extremadura, the far western part of the country. Rooms: rooms are spacious with many offering a separate sitting area. There are wooden headboards and orange tiled floors. The bathrooms have been updated and include amenities shampoo, shower gel, etc. There is also air conditioning, which is appreciated on days with temperatures over 40C. Fitness leisure: Ask the receptionist for access to the fitness room located underground. There’s a treadmill, stationary bike, free weights and weight machine with a bench. What’s more, there are showers and a sauna there too. The outdoor swimming pool is open in the summer, which is refreshing on hot days (August). Food: the breakfast buffet offers regional specialities including multiple pastries and sweets, local cheese and meats. Come hungry as there are plenty of options to choose from and it’s even possible to order eggs (various styles) or churros. Service: extremely friendly and helpful. Parking: to check in, park in front of the hotel for a few minutes. The parking garage is accessed by driving around the back and taking an elevator. Recommend to not be in a rush to arrive or depart the parking lot as it can take some time. Summary: this historic building was built in the 15th century as a convent complete with a gorgeous cloister that sheds lights into the ground and upper floors. It feels as though you’ve stepped back in time while in this well preserved venue. Within walking distance to the other sites in Plasencia, this parador is a must when in Extremadura. Highly recommend!!"

"excellent choice in plasencia. there is the option of tapas... or restaurant. We ate at the restaurant with all the respectful measures. Very good kitchen. very rich artichokes and very rich chochinillo, different from the segoviano but I got a lot. Very abundant."

"Muy buen bar donde pasar un rato agradable, tomándote una cerveza y unas buenas tapas, siempre que he ido tienen bastante variedad de ambas cosas, el precio no está nada mal y el trato por parte de los camareros siempre es súper agradable, como opción para tomar unas raciones no está nada mal tampoco y encima son bastante generosas y están bastante buenas, volveré sin duda."

"We went by chance because the rest of the bars were quite expensive and here they offered simple food, to get out of the way. the very blunt sandwich and the normal mixed sandwich. something felt bad for my partner but we're not sure if it was for the food or for other reasons. I'm not gonna judge him because he never knew anything wrong. the very nice bartender and the local is quite picturesque. *Little review:* we were a lot of hours of travel without eating anything and my partner is not usually bad for food. I mention it because it was a bit suspicious and I've already seen a review of a ham poop with mold. it can or can't be by the mouth, but if it was the only food that he ingested, all the arrows point in one direction."
