"Went for the Jan half price deal. I don’t think I’d go normally because the menu is so expensive, but the food was admittedly very good, couldn’t complain about any of it. Would have preferred if the beers and ciders had the amounts (500ml or 330ml for example) on the menu, as £6.80 for a 330ml bottle of beer is not good value in my opinion. The downside from our dining experience was the service. My girlfriend described it as “terrible service with a smile”, because while everyone was very welcoming and friendly, our servers would frequently forget drink orders and be less than attentive. It seemed like there were a lot of new staff members and that the system was disorganised which would be a management fault rather than the fault of the servers themselves. So all in all, I enjoyed the food, but the service needs improvement."

eating was great, but expensive. the service was very bad and unprofessional. the headkeeper was excellent, but the waiting staff seemed untrained and susceptible.

Food was okay but small portions for the full price (we got the 50% off January offer) and nothing that special, they had ran out of things we wanted and we were given stools at more of a bar looking onto the kitchen, wasn’t really the best for a dinner date, we felt in the way. Vibe and restaurant were nice but wouldn’t go back

great eating the superancho steak is so tender that it only the Brat chicken dinner easily fed three small children. our server rob was friendly and attentive. only on the bottom the puddings had come out quite slowly one at a time, so until the time of the last was served, the rest of the party had finished their. other than that, everything was perfect and we will definitely be back. We had such a wonderful time. All the staff were so wonderful. We have dined at this restaurant countless of times. Our dog always get treated so well and it made our experience exceptionally pleasant. We are always happy to come back. The Sunday roast is always the best too! My favourite is the broccoli. Just really tasty and could just eat it on its own. Food very well presented. 10 out of 5 star to be honest. Our favourite restaurant in the city.

Terrible service it took a long time for anyone to greet us upon arrival. One of our sides for a main course dish arrived before our starters and we were given an additional side by mistake. Our plates were just plonked on the table with no mention of what the dish was. There was confusion with the bill (our drinks weren't added but had been charged for the side we didn't order). A discretionary tip was included which we asked to remove based on the terrible service. The steak was chewy (ordered medium rare). It's a shame as it's a lovely venue with good ambience. Will not visit again or recommend to a friend.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
