"We discovered that this restaurant is located at the site of a Victorian corner pub, which was built on the land where a windmill once stood. This explains why it is called Windmill Lane. From the top window, you have a view of the impressive former town hall with its classical pillars and pediment. Nearby is the grand Imperial House, which was once the location of the Licensed Victuallers school. The founder of Pizza Express must have had a connection to this area, as his portrait is displayed twice in the restaurant - once as a large oil painting on the stairs, and again as a line drawing in the basement. The service was efficient, thorough, and friendly, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful way to enjoy a weekend lunch."

Really lovely location and layout, the food was amazing and arrived really fast. As well as this the waiting staff were extremely helpful, I would definitely recommend!!

we had a great birthday party on this place - highly recommended! the entertainer was really good and managed to keep the children busy for hours! the same as the nice staff that was helpful and pleasing!

Newly refurbished ...plenty of fresh new pizza on the menu ...i was especially glad to see the garlic prawn pizza seen that i dont eat meat !!! My son enjoyed his barbeque brisket beef romana and he is a person who normally go for the boring pepperoni. It was a wonderful lunch time enviroment even for the smaller ones who enjoyed their piccolo menus.

absolutely beautiful service. such a pretty restaurant and the personal member who served us were blond, but unfortunately not catching their names was so wonderful. I had the 4 cheese pizza and it was to die. dessert was also wonderful, and the fresh minttee was so good that it actually stopped me to buy some fresh mint on the way to home haha. faster service, excellent pizza, will be 1000% back!

great food and great service in the pizza express kennington road yesterday evening. the managerin and her team went out of that to very welcome me and my party of 16 and to facilitate all evening. we received a half private area for our great size and received exceptional service and very warm tunes from the team. eating was actually quite good to choose with a varied menu and much too affordable trips. thanks to the pizza express team in kennington road again, we appreciate it and see you again soon. the best!
