"last weekend we spent a very nice evening in the ristorante of oetinger and were pampered with a great 3-course menu.With reservation we were already expected in the evening and welcomed at our table friendly on the large, quiet terrace. under a large tree illuminated in the crown, the table was beautifully located especially after a break in the darkness. our service served very tasty wee and first freshly baked bread with olives. To the appetizer we had bruschetta and grilled octopus, both very tasty, fresh and finely dressed. we had two grilled wolf bass on also grilled, fresh vegetables, also very tasty and tasty. the size of the portion we found more than reasonable and the dish was really great. to dessert we then enjoyed a dessertvariation (extended to our wish) from tiramisu, panna cotta and tartufo. in particular the tartufo and the panna cotta have tasted us excellent.Our service was probably very good at the evening, as all the tables on the terrace were completely occupied. a little in stress, she has always served us very friendly and our desire accordingly. as we were with the last guests at the evening, there was still a nice chat with the cook and the chef of the house who visited several tables.We thank you for the nice evening, the good service and a really round menu."

"A wonderful place to relax and feel good. The team is very friendly and gives you the feeling to be welcome. Despite a full host room, each table is covered with a courtesy attention. The mature cheese and the master crust tasted excellent and the carving of Viennese style was bomb, as was the roast potatoes. Also taking two dogs was not a problem because there is enough space between the individual tables, so no other guest feels disturbed. In any case, a place that invites you to stay in summer with a magnificent outdoor area and views as well as in winter with a cozy guest room. The menu is varied and therefore there is something for every taste. We like to come back."

"the weinpump is a typical Rheingauer weinlocal from the device. But it seems to me that there is much more effort in terms of maintenance, decoration and cleanliness than in competition. at least, therefore, in the weinpump, a feeling of well-being and almost a feeling of holiday occurred that so far did not arise in the other localities known to me. this was certainly also the sympathetic, fleeting service. and: the menu is in a positive sense manageable, it is offered more ground-based dishes, but with that something is brought to the table. beautifully dressed, fresh and very tasty. we have fed up and felt very well so we will soon return to the weinpump."

"We stayed there on 6.12.22 for the birthday dinner, as we are more often there and otherwise everything was good, but this time unfortunately not. My mother was supported at the entrance of the place and fell really bad on the knees and shoulders, it did not ask again the whole evening as she goes or whether she needs some ice cubes to cool or something. I called again the next day and described that my mother didn't go well and she was with the doctor and that she had to go to the MRT and the lady left my phone on the phone, but she wanted to go on. ANNEX The MRT is now unfortunately only in January because there were no appointments before, then we will see what is with the shoulder. She can't do anything right since the crash and needs help since. ."

"The location is idyllic, the menu and food delightful, the wine good and affordable, but I couldn't pay for our guests and ourselves because the Baiken does not accept US/Canadian credit cards so bring cash!! May explain why there were lots of locals here,...and very few tourists. This is certainly a locals' secret, as it is in a tiny town (Eltville am Rhein), up the hill at the edge of a large vineyard, in the Rhine Valley near Ruedesheim. The food is very classic German, and well prepared. Two of us had the veal shanks with chanterrelles and a demi-glace. Another had a pork cutlet, with spaetzle. The wait staff was most accommodating, allowing us to switch veggies, etc. We shared a cheese and asparagus quiche as an appy. For wine, we chose a Graubergunder grey burgundy as our wine, like a flavourful pinot gris, costing about euro a bottle, although there were more expensive choices available. Crème caramel and cappuccinos for desert. The outside seating is substantial, with the patio looking down on the Rhine, and there is a large Gaststube inside as well. We'll find a way to get back!"
