"Wir erlebten einen wunderschönen Abend, umsorgt von freundlichem und kompetenten Service, verwöhnt von einer hervorragenden Küche in geschmackvoll renoviertem Ambiente. Angefangen mit dem Gruß aus der Küche über das ausgezeichnete beef-tatar zu vorzüglichem Seeteufel und Trüffel-Pasta, alles beste Qualität mit großer Kochkunst bereitet. Das Kaufmanns ist jede Empfehlung wert. Kleiner Wermutstropfen: die Theke steht wenige Meter von Franken entfernt und es wird allen Ernstes Bitburger Pils ausgeschenkt. Zum Trost dient die kleine aber sorgfältig sortierte Karte offener Weine."

"Das Restaurant ist Teil eines Hofs, aber im Juli 2015 neu aufgemacht. Vor dem Gastraum gibt es eine kleine Terasse mit Blick auf den Hofplatz, auf dem man parken kann. Uns hat das nicht gestört, da man auch in die weite Rhönlandschaft blicken kann und den Garten mit alten Obstbäumen, in dem man auch sitzen kann.Die Bedienung war sehr nett.Die Karte ist übersichtlich, es gibt viel Bio und auch etwas für Vegetarier. Die Hauptspeise schmecket gut, alle Bestandteile schmeckten, es gab also keine lieblosen Beilagen. Das Preisniveau für die Hauptspeise liegt eher etwas über dem in der Region üblichen, was u.E. passt. Wir waren satt, die Mengen sind aber nicht übertrieben.Der kleine Beilagensalat hat uns begeistert. er war knackig und wohlschmeckend. Lange haben wir keinen so guten Salat gegessen.Das hausgemachte Eis und der hausgemachte Schnapps schmecken auch hausgemacht.Das Ambiente ist sehr ruhig und entspannt."

"Ist die Tageskasse prall gefüllt, verliert man wohl das Gespür dafür, wie man Kunden behandelt. Als nach angekündigter Wartezeit von 60 Minuten das bestellte Hähnchen serviert wurde, war es mittlerweile reichlich kühl geworden und mit 13 Grad und kurzer Hose nicht mehr angenehm zum Essen im Freien. Meine Bitte, mich in die Gastwirtschaft setzen zu dürfen, wurde mit der Bemerkung kommentiert, ich solle nicht so laut reden ! . Auf Nachfrage wurde geantwortet : „Dann wollen alle rein.“ Es waren allerdings eh nicht mehr viele Gäste im Garten Eine Kellnerin sagte wörtlich : „Ich setze keinen rein, dann wollen die alle rein.“ Ein anderes Gast Paar hatte nämlich ebenfalls mitgeteilt, daß es nun draußen zu kalt sei. Auch deren Bitte, im Haus essen zu dürfen, wurde einfach ignoriert. Liebe weibliche und männliche Bedienung der Hähnchen Paula : Es gibt genau 2 Möglichkeiten : 1. Es ist noch Platz, und man bittet den Gast herein 2. Man prüft die Bitte und falls wirklich überhaupt kein Platz mehr vorhanden ist, teilt man dem Gast sein Bedauern mit, evtl. mit dem Hinweis, man werde mal schauen, wann ein Umzug in`s Restaurant möglich ist. Beides geschah nicht. Keine Viertelstunde später waren innen ganze Tische frei, man ließ mich aber als „renitenter Gast“ schön weiterhin im Kalten sitzen. Den Kellner beim Bezahlen darauf hin angesprochen meinte dieser noch, man könne sich ja auch mal eine lange Hose einpacken beim Wandern. Liebe Gäste der Hähnchen Paula, bringt Euch abends warme Decken, Jacken, Pullover und ein wärmendes Mützchen mit zum Abendessen oder bleibt einfach weg und esst Euer Hähnchen dort, wo man dem Kunden nicht mit solchen Unverschämtheiten gegenübertritt."

"There were 9 of us there today with three families and three children. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The prices are very good. But I would like to highlight the friendly service. Everything was explained very well, despite the store being full, we were able to order quickly and received drinks quickly. The starter soups were very good. The main courses too. There is a small deduction for the fried potatoes because they were not completely cooked through, the roasting was a little lacking and they were served without onions and were probably fried. "We were at the Alpina for dinner last night. You run through a sports shop into a really nice little Italian restaurant. The decor and decoration are finely matched, very comfortable furniture and very beautiful Italian music in the background. We pay great attention to these details, as we want to feel comfortable at dinner. What would be even more beautiful if instead of paper napkins, which would be made of fabric and what we don't like at all, are sweet pepper shakers with already ground fine pepper, here are beautiful pepper mills on the table! Now to the actual, the operation was very polite and nice, let us choose a table and immediately handed the cards. What we find very good that is not immediately asked for the drink request, so you only have time to study the map to find the right drink for yourself. Finally, we chose a large bottle of water and white wine (Anais). As an appetizer we have ordered a large antipasti dish and when ordering it is intended for us two. The quality and selection was very good, only it is a shame that, for example, only a Bruschetta was found on the plate. To the main dish we had on the one hand 6 giant cloves with band noodles and salad and chicken breast with rosemary spoons and gratinized spinach. The shrimps were fantastic, as were the band noodles and the salad, simply pointed! In the chicken breast there is unfortunately a dot pull, on the one hand, there were only 2 small thin slices, so it became dry during frying and at the sauce unfortunately no lemon has been tasted out. For this, the rosemary apples were the best I had eaten in my life and the spinach to kneel down, just great. After eating there was an espresso macchiato, which was also perfect and hot above all, there is almost nothing worse than a lukewarm espresso after eating. At the service, I suppose it's the owners with son, I would like a little more initiative and maybe a little more talk. It's almost a shy atmosphere, but we don't want to interpret too much, after all we were there and we can fool ourselves. All in all it was a more than successful evening, the quality of the dishes is good to very good, the price-performance ratio is excellent, the operation nice and the ambience top! We usually go to eat on Saturday, I think we will have to change our habit and go to eat more on Friday. Unfortunately, the restaurant has only opened on Friday and Monday evening, which we find incredible shame, just Saturday is used by very many to go to dinner. The restaurant should also make more advertising for itself, even a ride from Fulda is worth looking for Gersfeld, as already written, the ambience, the performance and the price-performance ratio can be long sought in Fulda, a visit is worth a visit and more advertising is rewarded with security."
