"These are by far the best fish and chips that I have had on Anglesey. I would have given 5 stars but there ordering and pickup system is a little misleading. They encourage you to book via their app or call, but when you arrive to collect your food, you still have to go up to the window where people were congregated. I don’t understand why they don’t just make your food and shout your name at the time you selected when ordering. That would limit contact at the window to once, rather than having to go up twice. Otherwise it’s a bit pointless ordering on the app, you may as well order when you get there ‍. Perhaps it’s just teething problems so I apologise to the restaurant if so."

Got a mushy pea fritter, veg-chicken goujons and fries. Super cheap, only about 6gbp total! And very tasty.

Ordered at the door, given a beeper to let us know when ready. Only took a few minutes delicious fish, really well cooked and tasty chips.

well I've got to say that it is the worst one I have had the chips were absolutely awful the curry was not even fruity and was like water the fish was full of oil. This has got to be the worst I've had from here.

They have vegan strips which were overpriced, I think we got 3 for almost 5 pounds. The lady was nice though and she said the also have a vegan pie and vegan mayo. Just a shame they don't give you more quantity. Chips weren't amazing either. Also bear in mind the food is not cooked separately. Updated from previous review on 2023-09-09

This chippy used to be excellent even the last time I went it was lots better than today . The service was below par with attitude . The food was below average for here , the sausages were cheap and over cooked. The chips were frightful, hard and very over cooked. The bap was not buttered or anything.Overall very unimpressive will not write it off though because of previous satisfaction but watch this space.

Because of the current COVID regulations you have to order food either by phone or on the app. We used the app, this was very easy and it gave us a time to pick up our order. When we went to pick up our food there are marked places for you to wait and the food was handed over very quickly. Very well organized. The fish and chips are really good, they were obviously fresh and nice and hot. The service was great, well done.

We usually only stop here to get some chips, however I noticed they had a new board with some vegan options! They have a choice of three and we tried the vegan cheese and onion and meatless and potato pies which were absolutely delicious! They were also served with a side of onion gravy and chips. Staff were very helpful in checking the ingredients and informing me of any potential cross contamination. Would highly recommend!

I’d broken my leg the week before had been well looked after by my husband; but he had to go back to work. So ...needing some tea, I fancied fish chips. I called my usual chippy but unfortunately they didn’t deliver. I checked for other local ones found that the port chippy did Gluten Free meals as well as delivered.I downloaded their app, ordered GF fish chips got a instant email with the confirmation time of delivery. It arrived on time, the driver had her mask on, the meal was delivered in an insulated bag which was opened for me, so no contact was necessary. Best of all the fish chips were delicious, crispy obviously fresh fish. Perfect

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
