We had a take away and we enjoyed every bite. We ordered as much as we could on the menu so we got to try a variety of dishes, it did not disappoint. We were only sorry that we couldn't eat more! Thank you!

Genuinely the best vegan fast food ever created. The lady who runs it is so so lovely and makes good vegan donuts. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Especially compared with some of the other dining experiences in Bangor.

Some of the best food we have ever eaten! Cauliflower wings in a kind of sticky orange sauce has to be the nicest dish I've ever tasted! Good portions and well priced. Had our dinner at voltaire and it was great! We hadnt booked a table but they manage to squeeze us in anyway. Waited not longer than 10-15 minutes for our food to come out after ordering. The food was very tasty and portion sizes very good for the price. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend, we will be going back again.

This fantastic vegan restaurant is a hidden gem. My experience with their Sunday lunch was absolutely incredible - it was hands down the best I've ever had! I enjoyed a generous plate of chickn, mixed with various fresh veggies and accompanied by a delicious Yorkshire pudding. To top it all off, the smores sundae was also a standout dish. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Went here for our anniversary meal, Food was fantastic complements to the chefs, it was well presented with amazing choice. only thing that let it down for us was the service. sat with dirty plates after our starter. only moved when main arrived so no cutlery. then left with dirty plates until dessert time. it was a shame. it let it down. no it wasnt busy, staff were chatting more than clearing! Voltaire offers a diverse menu with limited availability, open only 3 days a week. During my short visit to Bangor, I tried the Jackie Chan burrito filled with V steak and salad. It was served with chips, coleslaw, and additional salad. The V steak was delicious and I wish I had the opportunity to sample their V chicken. The standout dish was the Creamy Garlic Mushrooms, served with garlic bread which was a perfect pairing for garlic lovers like myself.

Great to find somewhere that had exclusively vegan options. Plenty of variety on the menu so should be something for everyone. The portions are absolutely huge which meant we ended up leaving some of our meals unless you have a really big appetite you could definitely share some of the meals. The service could have been better, we had to ask for water for a few times before we got it but the actual restaurant setting itself is lovely and intimate (it got very busy very quickly when we were there so definitely book). All in all would recommend it as worth a try if you’re in the area!

My friend and I visited this restaurant and were seated at a table towards the back. The atmosphere was quirky and had a nice vibe. However, the table we sat at was a bit sticky and could use some sanding and repainting. There were also some flies buzzing around, which was a bit annoying. We ordered a cocktail and a merlot, both of which were very enjoyable. Our server took a while to come back to take our food order after bringing our drinks. We decided to order 5 or 6 small plates as part of a deal. The tofu dish was delicious and highly recommended.
