"the restaurant is on three levels of exposure. the interieur is cool and characterful, the conservatory is protected, but airy, the extended balcony from the open and with magnificent view over the beautiful harbour area and the sea. the personal is pleasant...and helpful. the activities of cheery managers, roxy, are a wonder to see how they slide around the restaurant like a bee in an exotic garden, in and out flattering tired boundaries with practicable lightness. here is a happy group of flowers, a family enjoy a birthday meal; there is a romantic duo, rapture and worrying; and here a lonely flower on a eckish watch the multicolor scene, absorb the atmosphere and the flowing flut of talks. I'm well used to the Prezzo kitchens and regularly in their Canterbury restaurant. I will repeat what I have always said that the ice and the coffee are unmatched, along with an interesting menu and efficient service. a word about broadstairs. it is like a piece of cornwall, which is overlaid after kent, a picturesque bay, but with an urban hinterland. the closer they approach the sea, the more charming it becomes. it is quirky, picturesque and architecturally diverse. if they like long walks, there are many corners and cracks to explore here and on. the connection with charles thickens gives him a pronounced literary heritage and there is a museum dedicated to the great man."

The reason for my poor review wasn’t the food. In fact the food was very nice. It was how we were greeted when we arrived minutes late for our table. He asked me my name and said your table was for (we arrived...at due to traffic) he then rolled his eyes as if we had caused him a huge inconvenience. The restaurant wasn’t even full! Customer service training needed here I think!!!

Outstanding as always, I don’t know what’s changed but it’s amazing!! Our waitress, Charlotte went above and beyond to make sure we were fully catered for and left feeling satisfied. We had small children whom she was attentive too and engaged well (considering our...children don’t usually do restaurants very well without kicking up a fuss) Cannot wait to return for my friends birthday meal in a couple of weeks. Children free of course. The food was spectacular and the chocolate tart was to die for

Visited Prezzo this evening with a friend as a celebration dinner in remission from cancer) we were dining on a taste card deal I ordered calzone, as I began to eat , I noticed that my food was luke warm, about...a quarter the way through it was cold. I sent it back and agreed to have another one, this was also cold, it was sent back again, I was offered another one which I would take home. It was clearly thrown into a box with some salad. The poor waitress was embarrassed, she did her best, however at no point did the manager come to the table to apologise and offer any compensation, taste card or not. All in all a hugely disappointing dinner and we will not return

I never leave bad cries, but the service in this restaurant is so terrible, I feel obliged to say something. we waited for ten minutes while several service staff went past several times without even making eye contact. At some point, a woman who ignored herself in the studio...we asked up to this point if we had a reservation. when we said no, she said with a lavish that there is nothing. we were horrified. if they do not actually talk to customers, at least say a note, no availability. we went to sardinia down the road and the difference in our recipe could not have been marked anymore. they were so friendly and helpful, the service for the whole meal was impeccable and the eating was bett...

Came all the way from wales to be treated like an Alien due to an onion intolerance. Despite knowing how much onion I can eat,I was told that I couldn’t eat most of the menu bar chips and a chicken plain burger. My family ordered...with the waitress yet I had to order with the host and I was made to feel alienated once again! Then all of the staff were talking about me and making remarks when I passed them due to having a slight onion intolerance. This is not good quality service. I was made to feel uncomfortable and missed out on my own anniversary meal despite knowing how much onion I could eat! I would not recommend! It was quiet on arrival and yet the chef could have accommodated yet cou...

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
