"After meeting with a customer and having some extra time, we decided to park at this excellent pub. We arrived for an early lunch and were able to find a free table, despite several being reserved. It seemed likely that they had been booked in advance. The Morretti and Amstel beers were cold and refreshing, and our food arrived quickly, even though we appeared to be the first ones to order. The king prawns starter and lasagne were delicious and satisfying, while the Caesar salad was crisp and fresh. There was no loud music, making conversation easy. Overall, it was a great lunch experience."

a beautiful Sunday dinner. many meat choices, perfectly cooked bark. crispy kartoffeln. large parts. great service. also in the position to buy a lunch, as one of our party couldn't make it. much appreciated

Last minute decision for Sunday lunch, welcoming staff great menu choice, great service and well presented tasty roast. Good portion size and variety of veg offered. Pudding generous and varied, kids and adults both enjoyed.

A treat of an evening meal, the dining room was very nice, bright and with a warming atmosphere, the meal choices were good, and when the meals came out they were very nice. Car park is large and behind the pub,a sharp turn to the...left just after the road junction and pub.

Have visited several times since the pub was taken over by new management in July 2020 and what a job they have done. The atmosphere is lovely, have visited with family, friends and have been welcomed by lottie and her team. Credit to all of...you and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Monday 6th Sept we stopped for lunch having seen the big OPEN sign outside. But all shut up and other people walking away.. A bit annoying having parked up and walked around to the front. I know you are not open all the time but...get your signs right. (Your website says ‘open now from 11 am we were there well after 12)

I recently stumbled upon this fantastic gem of a village pub in Bristol before catching an early morning flight. The staff and patrons were wonderful, and the food exceeded my expectations with its freshness and generous portions. After a pleasant evening, I inquired about a shortcut back to my accommodation and was pleasantly surprised when Amy offered to personally guide me. Her eager-to-please attitude and exceptional service truly made my experience memorable. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to others. Five stars all around!
