Leuk klein terras in winkelstraat. Dus altijd iets te zien. Vlotte bediening. Lokaal binnen prachtig en groot, ideaal voor een feest! Maar echt nog nergens meegemaakt: wijn is niet per glas te bestellen. Wel per karaf a ruim 2 glazen (en bijbehorende prijs) Erg jammer. Je zult bijv nog moeten rijden en trek in een (1) glas wijn hebben

"Every year when we come to Brunssum it is a tradition to head to the infamous Canadian Corner. The atmosphere is great. Rustic charm, birch trees stretching up to the ceiling and lights and candles all over the place. The greeting is always warm and friendly. The Mounty steak, a sumptuous portion of 'dead cow ' baked in a skillet with the Chef 's sauce and veggies filling the pan. I asked for it medium rare, which is a challenge when the meat goes in the oven, but tonight he hit it bang on. Excellent. The fries a new supplier we were told) were nice and crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. My only complaint was that I had ordered the wedge potatoes a little mix-up in the kitchen) but I was happy with the fries. The side of salad was okay. Nothing special there; however the home-made apple sauce was delicious. We also had the fish special which was a lightly breaded/fine crumbs plaice. It was nicely prepared. Good flavour, no lots of flavour. Nice seasoning! It went well with the salad that came with the order. Generous portions with tons of flavour. Not the quickest meal out of the kitchen, so I guess you have to wait for good food."

"Always a fun place and they spruced it up since our last visit in 2014. Seems brighter and more open. As always you start out with the requisite shot of ouzo to cleanse the palatte. The salad bar has all the basics to make a nice starter. The veggies were fresh, nice big chunks of feta and a good selection of oils to top it off. The chicken soup was okay, A bit thin but had nice big chunks of chicken. The side of bread was nothing special. The Thymeria platter, with chicken fillet, gyros, Greek sausage and souvlaki was enjoyed. I thought they did a wonderful job of the chicken fillet. Full of flavour and very tender. The souvlaki's were also nice and tender. The Greek sausage was okay and the gyros was a bit dry. Good size portion of yummy frites."

"The wild sprinkler tasted sour and daring, the red cabbage was totally dead-boiled and completely unworn and the dumplings were so small that they had to look for it. "Mooi kasteel maar achterstallig onderhoud. Ik adviseer ze een renovatie, dan ook alles goed en netjes aansluiten, zoals de overstort van de wasbak die niet aangesloten was en dikke bubbels achter het behang. Pluspunt is de goede waterdruk en de lekkere vlaai. Ook zeer netjes dat er water, koffie en thee (de doorzichtige kups) op de kamers staan. Jammer dat er op dit moment geen kok is en je eigenlijk overal de auto voor moet pakken of je moet een fiets mee hebben. De kamers zijn zeer gehorig, je hoort de wc en douche van je buren maar ook het lopen op de gang, buiten of boven je. De matrassen zijn op. Ik miste nog een koelkastje op de kamer. Het ontbijt was standaard, niet iets bijzonders maar genoeg keuze voor iedereen."
