"Every year when we come to Brunssum it is a tradition to head to the infamous Canadian Corner. The atmosphere is great. Rustic charm, birch trees stretching up to the ceiling and lights and candles all over the place. The greeting is always warm and friendly. The Mounty steak, a sumptuous portion of 'dead cow ' baked in a skillet with the Chef 's sauce and veggies filling the pan. I asked for it medium rare, which is a challenge when the meat goes in the oven, but tonight he hit it bang on. Excellent. The fries a new supplier we were told) were nice and crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. My only complaint was that I had ordered the wedge potatoes a little mix-up in the kitchen) but I was happy with the fries. The side of salad was okay. Nothing special there; however the home-made apple sauce was delicious. We also had the fish special which was a lightly breaded/fine crumbs plaice. It was nicely prepared. Good flavour, no lots of flavour. Nice seasoning! It went well with the salad that came with the order. Generous portions with tons of flavour. Not the quickest meal out of the kitchen, so I guess you have to wait for good food."

Jarenlang, een regelmatige van Canadese hoek. Kwaliteit en klantenvriendschap staan hier voor. Soms erg druk dat je wat langer moet wachten. Maar ja, de kwaliteit staat er voor en dat is het waard. Als je zeker wilt zijn van een plek, dan wil je reserveren. Het is al jaren een goede.

Geweldig Sfeervol restaurant met twee leuke gezellige gastvrouwen en Heel vriendelijk personeel! Alles is even lekker en de Ladyribs zijn mijn persoonlijke favoriet. Gisteravond, heerlijk opgegeten en gepoetst bij de Canadese hoek, en een heerlijke zelfgemaakte cocktail had rum op de heuvel, zelfgemaakte gin-tonics, ook een echte acteur, en heel aardige staf voor de late uren. Ook voor onze dochter, is er niets geks aan de kandidaat, dikke pijl voor al het personeel dat dit kan doen met deze tropische temperaturen. Ik hoop er veel meer van te genieten.

Staying in Brunnsum for 2 months and this is the first place that i thoroughly enjoyed my stay as well as the food. Very quaint and cozy style restaurant and it even has a play area for the kiddos! The service was very friendly and attentive and when there was a language barrier they quickly sent someone over who spoke English to help! I ordered there Cactus Soup which came in a very cute mini crock pot with a pre-sliced roll with cheese. Presentation was adorable. All in All I was pretty impressed with my overall experience. Heads up They do not separate checks so bring cash or plan to have one person pay for the meals!
