"Lovely bar and great potential. However lack of bar staff waiting over 15 minutes to order a drink this was prior to our restaurant sitting 7:30. The restaurant has no ambience at all, the food is absolutely tiny and I ordered a takeaway when I got home. The quality is ok, but the pricing is crazy. Paid £98 for two courses and two drinks. My partner wanted a cocktail, asked for menu and they didn’t have one. The waiter reeled off a small list and they explained they were available in a pitcher only who orders pitchers when going out for a romantic meal? It was very apparent the waiting staff lacked experience also, and there seemed to be nobody providing guidance experience to help them. I eat at a lot of good high quality restaurants both cheap and expensive and I don’t mind paying for quality but I do mind paying when the quality is poor and the price is massively overly inflated. Sadly, we will never return great potential. Address the restaurant look ambience, poorly trained waiting staff, price, cocktail drinks menu and you will do well im sure! We were offered 20% off the bill based upon a complaint to the waitress, which was a nice gesture. That price was more suitable but I still consider it expensive."

"I had been wanting to visit here for a long time and finally was able to go. I visited with my husband 18 month son and mother in law. Our table was booked a week or 2 in advance, we advised we would need a high chair. We were promptly seated and we asked if we could have a high chair, the server went away presumably to get one. They did not return to the table. When our drink and food order was taken we again asked for a high chair. We were told yes ill get one. This person again did not return until serving our food. I believe my husband approached someone again and asked for a chair and was told there was a large party in that were using the chairs so they were struggling to find one. My son was running about the restaurant as an 18 month old would but fortunately we were seated right by the outside and he was able to have a bit of space to play. Our food arrived and there was still no high chair. I was unable to enjoy my food or eat it when it was hot as I had to have my son on my lap so he could eat his stag bol. This ruined the meal for me. My son didn 't want to stay sat in my lap so I was then taking it in turns with my husband to go outside with our son. From what I had of my meal it was delicious it 's just a shame we couldn 't all eat together and were up and down throughout the visit. Also the food was cold by time of eating. We did on one occasion have a staff member approach the table and apologise about the lack of chair. My husband and Mil were near finishing their food when a high chair appeared. Whilst I was outside with our son a server asked how our food was. My husband told the server we were unable to enjoy it due to our son not being able to be seated properly. We just received a verbal apology. We had coffee after and were not given any sugar. My husband approached the coffee bar and asked for sugar and the man making our drinks seemed really annoyed. He briefly looked up and grimaced and then pointed to another server. I understand he was busy but customer service? I know it might seem easy to say 'control your son to sit at a table ' but it 's a lot easier said than done for some toddlers. I was left disappointed by the experience and seemed like an inconvenience. But I highly rate the food."

"Went for Sunday Lunch. Not too busy when we arrived and there were plenty of young people waiting on but they seemed more interested in chatting by the till than engaging with diners. The Manager was around but this didn't seem to make any difference. Got served eventually but the waitress did not offer a smile or any kind of enthusiasm, just had a bored expression. Food good but not as good as on a previous occasion. Beef was not as tender and not that much of it for the price. Wasn't asked if we wanted more drinks by our waitress so called her over once my sons said they didn't want another drink she scooted off without waiting to see if my husband and I wanted one so needed to flag down another waitress. Noticed other diners needing to ask for menus etc despite lots of servers being around, they were just standing chatting. This is a lovely place but the experience on Sunday was not comparable to previous occasions. Won't rush back for a while but will probably give it another go but when it is quieter as the service and food seemed better then."

"by far the best pub I was, the meals are amazing and the staff are friendly and funny. I took a party of 13 here on Saturday night for a meal and after that everyone said thanks to me that they take it there, how they really eat that and the live band that was up."

"Went for a spa day I can honestly say I was disappointed. There were children in the pool area which made it noisy the opposite of relaxing. Too many people were let into the spa in my opinion as there were more people than loungers really over crowded. The fire ice experience was nice.. but again.. too many people so the steam rooms didn't have much steam as people were constantly in out. There was no music in the relaxation area our party was told the speakers were broken wouldn't be fixed until January. The treatment I had was really lovely, the only negative was that the speaker (that did work in the treatment room) was really crackly so the relaxing music was anything but relaxing. The toilet in the female changing area was disgusting.. looked like it hadn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. I asked for a replacement robe as I did not want to sit in a wet robe during the cream tea in the bar area but I was told I could not swap it for free... I would have to pay for it...! I have never known a spa not give you fresh towels or robes if you need them..! So sitting in a wet robe to eat lunch was not particularly comfortable. We had a specific time slot booked for the lunch so no opportunity to shower dry off beforehand. I don't think I would return here as it felt too commercial."
