Lunch by l'Étang in picturesque Cucuron on a warm, sunny day, under the wonderful plane trees, takes some beating. This was the best French food we've had since the beginning of 2017 here in France. We had plat du jour for lunch and it was all delicious. We were there when the market was there too. We are fans of the movie the Good Year, and the pond next to the restaurant (l'etang ) is one of the locations.

Everything seems frozen and the ingredients are bad qualities or poorly prepared (no tastes, not terrible textures... . Overall nothing we can't do better at home... The leader should consider a career in a school restaurant. In addition, apart from desserts, portions fry ridicule. Nothing in this restaurant except the setting.

We've eaten here several times on various visits to Cucuron and it never disappoints. Limited menu but well prepared food using local ingredients, although veg lacks variety and could be a bit warmer. Service is quick, perhaps a little too quick, and the staff make little attempt to help those who don't speak French.
