"Our stay in this hotel leaves us perplexed. The infrastructure is good, the room is spacious and the breakfast is very good. But the value for money leaves something to be desired, especially for customer service in the restaurant in the evening, which is unacceptable for a 4 star+! When we asked the waitress what wine she could recommend to us, her response was I don 't know, I don 't drink wine and without offering to ask one of her colleagues... Then we asked for bread to accompany my meat and my wife also to accompany her salmon tartare and the waitress replies we don 't give bread with the salmon tartare there are already the toasts no but sorry??!!! My wife worked for 10 years in the luxury hotel industry in Geneva and clearly these two answers will be used in the training of future hoteliers like NOT TO DO so as not to lose customers and turnover!! Our team lived in this hotel for several years during preparation for the season. A good place for athletes to relax and recover after training and games. The thermal baths undoubtedly deserve special praise.

Lauwarme Speisen, trockener Fisch, sehr kleine Speisekarte, das Dessert sollte schon zu Beginn des Abends bestellt werden, Mini Weinkarte, Preis und Leistung hat wegen der Qualität nicht gepasst, die Speisen wurden aber schön präsentiert. Personal war ein Abend freundlich, ein Abend leider nicht so sehr. Corona Vorgaben wurden sehr gut eingehalten.

"Unfortunately the choice for decent restaurants is more than limited in Yverdon, but La Pinte is a welcome exception. This place is a rather typical brasserie serving classical dishes that are perfectly prepared. Without reaching star level this is definitely a very serious place using...good and (according to them) mostly local products and delivering consistent quality. Today, we enjoyed perfect burgundy eggs (oeufs en meurette) and excellent scallops in citrus sauce with high quality vegetables (including artichokes hearts). Service is professional and efficient and our only complaint was that the desserts were... too copious ! (but very good). Slightly expensive but worth it, definitely one step above the competition in Yverdon."

"Eating only poultry, several people recommended that I try the chicken burgers at Double R, which is the benchmark for burgers in Yverdon. Quite popular, being that the place is small. You absolutely have to book! First problem, our reservation for 5 people was not recorded. (We had booked a week in advance . The waiter found a solution and moved us to a table where there were already 3 people… let’s move on… 2nd problem, the menu card and a completely torn, greasy and sticky old paper. Honestly, I hoped that the cuisine wasn't up to par... 3rd problem, I order my famous chicken burger which is so recommended and there, the pompom, the waiter tells me that they don't make chicken burgers... that it's the bar next door that does. Whereas the friends I was with came 15 days before and the chicken burger existed. anyway next… So, I ask if there is a salad and the waiter asks me if I want the burger bun with it?! Suggests I put my salad in the burger bun?! I laughed, but I laughed ; So, I told him that a small salad for 6 would go very well and I stole 2 3 fries from my friends ; The story continues with the dessert... on the menu there was a Moelleux au chocolat if I'm not mistaken and well again at the time of ordering he didn't make any, or more and offered other desserts... The only good point for me was the commercial gesture that the waiter made at the end, seeing all the hiccups since the beginning of the evening, offered us the digestive/coffee... "We're from the UK and visiting our son/brother who now lives and works near Vevey. Today was our last day out together and we initially stopped by for a light meal. However, when we saw the menu, we quickly changed our minds! Lovely selection of high quality home cooked dishes that even a larger restaurant would struggle to compete with. The star of show? Well, the fantastic ice creams, of course! Yummy!"

"Restaurant in the middle of a commercial area which mainly offers Italian cuisine. The prices are not very high, the pizza dough is delicious, but the toppings lack a little originality... just adding fresh mushrooms instead of cans can change the flavors and as a result the pizzas are a little bland. using canned products and it's a shame because the pizzas are cooked over a wood fire which is a very good point. The same thing for the tiramisu which is homemade and advertised with amaretto… very bland! Lack of coffee and amaretto which is non-existent in the dessert. It’s a shame because the staff is friendly and the restaurant is quite well maintained. I would prefer to spend a few francs more to have tasty dishes!"
