"Nachdem ich nun ein Dutzend mal hier zu Gast war, ist es an der Zeit, meine guten Erfahrungen mit anderen zu teilen.Bei "Sale e Pepe" bestelle ich gerne einfach mal 5 Gänge und überlassen die Auswahl Pippo, dem Wirt. Seiner Auswahl und seinen Weinempfehlungen traue ich und wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Neben der "normalen" Speisekarte" halte ich mich lieber an die Tageskarte, auf der ich schon bis zu acht frische Fischsorten vorfand. Auch die Fleischgerichte sind absolut empfehlenswert. Ich wüsste aber beim besten Willen nicht, was mein Favorit ist. Bislang schmeckte mir alles ausgezeichnet. Und das ist bei mir eher selten.Da es eher ein kleines Restaurant ist, empfiehlt sich eine telefonische Reservierung. In den Sommermonaten sorgt die kleine Terrasse im ruhigen, geschlossenen Innenhof für Ausweichmöglichkeiten. Der Wirt greift auch schon mal gerne zur Gitarre oder setzt sich ans Klavier. Seine Interpretationen vorwiegend italienischer Lieder sorgt für eine angenehme gelöste Stimmung im Restaurant. Als wir an Muttertag zu Gast waren und eine der Töchter Lust hatte, ihrer Mutter ein kleines Ständchen zu singen, war das kein Problem. Auch andere Gäste habe ich schon mit Pippo zusammen musizieren gehört. Es geht dabei weniger um die "perfekte" musikalische Darbietung. Viel wichtiger ist es, mit dem Herzen zu singen. Und das kann Pippo meisterhaft!Zum Schluss ein Wort zu den Gästen, die sich wie "Graf Kotz" verhalten und an allem etwas rumzumäkeln haben. Von denen habe ich auch zwei Bewertungen hier gelesen, die dieses Restaurant anscheinend nicht zu würdigen wissen. Es ist gut, wenn sie wegbleiben und die Plätze frei lassen für die liebenswürdigen Gäste, die dieses Haus verdient hat und die glücklicherweise die überwiegende Mehrzahl ausmachen."

"Nun ja. Mit großer Erwartung aufgrund der Bewertungen und den Preisen in der Speisekarte, erwartete ich eine frische gehobene Küche. Um es kurz zu machen: Minestrone nennt man hier gekörnte Brühe mit TK Gemüse, Carpaccio TK, Fisch TK, Gemüsebeilage TK, Oliven null Geschmack um nur einiges zu nennen. Fisch und Fleisch hatten eine gute Garstufe, aber aufgrund der anderen Waren, glaube ich nicht, dass dann hier auf die Qualität geachtet wird.Der hervorragende Service und der gute Wein haben hier die Punkte ausgemacht. Mehr aber dann auch nicht.Das Essen ist weniger als Durchschnitt. TK kann ich mir in jedem Discounter selber warm machen. Das dann hier Preise für Frische aufgerufen werden, fast schon unverschämt."

"Wir waren früher sehr regelmäßig beim Nakhon und es war immer toll. In letzter Zeit hat das Restaurant und auch der Abholservice aber leider extrem nachgelassen. Es werden gefühlt immer mehr Leute „abgefertigt“ und das Essen geht immer mehr Richtung Kantine. Große Portionen, wenig Geschmack aber viel Glutamat. Servicekräfte sind sehr lieb und wahnsinnig bemüht,aber permanent überlastet. Wir haben das Gefühl,dass das Rad hier mittlerweile überdreht wird. Denselben Eindruck haben andere Stammgäste aus Eschweiler. Sicherlich immer noch okay für viele und ein vernünftiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis,aber kein Vergleich mehr zu früher. Wir kommen erstmal nicht mehr wieder."

After 15 minutes without anyone coming to us, we decided to grab the menu and watch. What we wanted, then after another 30 minus that no one had been to our house, not even if we were trying to call, we decided to get up and leave with all of us.
