Restaurant Taverne Bernerhof

Excellent endroit pour savourer une spécialité suisse .La raclette est formidable ! Mais différentes fondues au fromage sont possibles. Je me permets de rappeler que la fondue chinoise n est pas une spécialité suisse. Le service un peu lent mais avec le sourire.Moment agréable.

Dem Bernerhof würde eine Entrümpelungsaktion und ein neuer Anstrich gut tun. Wer's rustikal mag und den 80er-Jahre-Stil liebt, dem wird's dort gefallen. Das Essen (Ghackets mit Hörnli – ein Klassiker) war kein Genuss, aber durchaus essbar (wir hatten Hunger). Kurzum: Ich würd nicht mehr da hin gehen.

Visited with the family after a long strenuous day and was very relaxing. staff was a bit overwhelmed with number of people in there but worked very hard to keep up and made up for it with great service. had a lovely steak sizzling on a hot stone along with fondue at the table. all in all great food for the value

After a poor welcome from a miserable bloke who told us to stand out of the way, because he was working, the experience improved. Friendly helpful staff served up good helpings of local food - rosti and fondue were both excellent. Other punters seemed to be enjoying their meals too ..and the miserable one had gone by the time we left, so alls well that ends well......

We went here twice since it appealed to us so much we returned the second night. We had absolutely wonderful traditional Swiss cuisine with an excellent Hornli the first night and superb fondue the second. The staff accommodated us at an outside table despite being...really busy and even relocated us to allow us to watch the sunset over Jungfrau. They do their absolute best despite being full almost the entire evening. Highly recommend.

We went on a Sunday evening. The food was average. My wife had a very good salad, and the rest of us had some average spaghetti and fish. The service was terrible...even for Europe. The real issue was that they favored hotel patrons. Our host took 20 minutes to take our order. After the food arrived, they didn't stop back for over an hour. They visited the tables behind us several times. We were hoping to order dessert, but were so tired we just decided to get the check. Don't bother unless everything else is closed.

Popped up to Wengen from valley for a nose round the town and dinner on a Saturday night.Lots of places to choose from but settled on the Bernerhof. Had a table inside but equally could have chosen one out the front overlooking the rainy street.Service was speedy and polite. Our waiter, Randy, even took the trouble to check that the dishes one of our party ordered contained no dairy or citrus.We had the Swiss Military Noodles to share. We went there to have dinner. We had to Wait like 35 minutes to be seated and another hour to get the Food. The staff was not friendly, I would say Rough and un professional. We are on a budget and we looked up the menu and ordered ONE founde and two soups. We ordered one fondue, the menu showed the fondue for 26 CHFBut when we had to pay we were charged double! They said the served us two portions, as we were two people, but we only ordered one! The menu never said the price listed was PER PERSON the manager said, it is really scamy, the menu does not say this clearly. This is a perfect tourist trap. The manager said he understood what we were telling him but he could not do anything about...
