"Went to this venue with a few friends having seen it was rated #1 in the local area. Food I got a tomahawk steak with all the usual extras. It was decent. Best steak I’ve had, no, but was cooked well. Sauce didn’t blow me away. Main itself was good but not mind blowing. Got sticky toffee for dessert and again, it was good, but not overwhelming. Service we had to prompt the staff to ask for dessert which wasn’t ideal. Atmosphere they had a live singer. He was decent but didn’t really add any real value to the experience. Overall A decent enough venue with above average food. Is it worthy of the best restaurant in the town. Probably not. Would recommend for casual dining but for a special occasion I’d venture elsewhere"

"Our first visit to the Boathouse definitely won't be our last. We had a wonderful experience! Given that they had just reopened a few days ago, everything was impressive. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and we never felt rushed. The service was excellent—perfectly balanced, not intrusive but always attentive. The food was of high quality, and the desserts had a homemade touch that you often don't find. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with no complaints, and I highly recommend it!"

"I called to make a booking for the restaurant a few days before we were due to go. Making the booking over the phone was quick and easy. All confirmed with no problems. When arrived we were seated near the open fire, which was nice. The place was quiet for a Friday afternoon, but this suited us as we had our son (Theo) with us, he is only 4 months old and wouldn’t be fond of large, loud crowds. I ordered the burger and my wife ordered fish on chips. Both arrived in good time and were very tasty. The portions were well sized as well. After dinner, Theo needed changed. The facilities were spot on for our needs and all on the same level which would be suitable for any ability issues. We will be back at the Ramble Inn again for dinner when we are in the area. thanks to all the staff for a good evening and meal."

"My partner and I called in here for a bite to eat last Monday on my way back from Belfast. If there was a spot for no stars, that is what I would give this place. I wantedd to complain but my partner told me not to as he didn't want to make a scene. Im so sorry I didn't now. I ordered chicken goujons and garlic, and he had the pitta chicken. His chicken was like charred rubber it was so overcooked. My meal was like a plate of grease. The goujonsweres just pure grease on a plate. I scraped the batter off and tried to eat the chicke, but it was like goo. The garlic fries were in a bowl of grease. The young waiter who lifted the plates just did that and no more. We were never offered desserts, notthat wee would have taken any anyway. The other staff were just cleaning around us as if to say it's leaving time. It's very rude to be brushing up floors and spraying tables in a clean u in front of customers.
