Visited again this time food and service was a lot better,didn’t have to wait long for the drinks and food to be served. Good choice on the menu. Worth a visit.

The Roast dinners here, available Wednesday and Sunday lunchtimes are excellent value. Large choice of vegetables, huge Yorkies and great beef. At £8.95 it really is hard to beat.

Met 3 friends for breakfast, socially distancing tables worked well and easy to order. Ordered full English with toast (after breakfast) but arrived first. Breakfast itself was fine but bacon was overcooked.Recommend the scones with jam and cream for later in the day (takeaway), scones a nice size and very filling.Overall, a good visit. The markings everywhere are very confusing. They should be much clearer. We walked in the entrance and just wanted to have a drink and light lunch before shopping, but the signage to the restaurant was not clear and we were wandering around trying to find out how to get into the restaurant as did many others.The food was lovely, but it was busy and a long queue to order what you want and social distancing was not being observed. Table service would be much better in these times of Covoid. Could do better Im afraid.

I recently visited Roxton Garden Centre for their carvery and it was fantastic value. The quality of the roasts was great and there was plenty of vegetables and condiments to choose from. We had no issues with getting a table, just had to ask for a reserved sign and they were happy to oblige. The restaurant had a friendly COVID-19 policy in place with tables spaced out. We even got to enjoy a lovely wood burner on the Sunday we visited. I highly recommend this restaurant's carvery option. The only minor suggestion I have is to ensure warm plates, but we were early diners that day. Overall, we will definitely be back as the garden centre is well stocked, good value, and in a good location.

After seeing the positive reviews on the website, my group decided to try out this restaurant for breakfast. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the quality of the food, cleanliness, and service. The ordering system was confusing and inefficient, with customers having to fetch their own cutlery from a dirty area. The staff were more interested in chatting than attending to customers, leading to slow service and dirty cutlery being used. Another customer had to point out the dirty items, which were only addressed after a second complaint. The food eventually arrived, with the eggs benedict being the only highlight. I visited this Garden Centre today around 11:00am and was informed that they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch, so there would be a wait of approximately 30 minutes for food. This was communicated politely, so it wasn't a problem. We ordered sandwiches - one with chips and one with salad, as well as two trifles and two regular cappuccinos priced at £3.55 each. The cappuccinos were served in very small cups, which were consumed in just over one mouthful, making it poor value for money. The trifle looked appealing but the cream on top had set, while the custard and jelly at the bottom were not mixed properly, resulting in an unappetizing mess. The garden centre itself is easy to find and plenty of choice of garden and garden related items in the shop, so if you have only come for that it is good. However some of marking of the arrows are contrary to flow in the garden centre and some leave a gap only a skinny person can go through near the tills. There was gel a plenty and staff behind screens whcih made me feel safe.The restaurant is obviously aimed for children and those with a small appteite, the chicken coronation platter as described on the menu was just a sandwich with a bit of cheap salad. This is a find table first then order restaurant which may be ok in quiet periods but to a sole diner, it 's not so good. Add Covid 19 and the fact that the carvery ordering process means queuing up to pay at one counter, obtain a voucher then head off to the carvery to get the food you want then return to the table only to find it occupied by someone else not the most efficient system for the public.Being on my own, I decided to forego the carvery and settled on Scampi chips as they had just run out of my first choice, fish chips.
