We had Sunday lunch and it was lovely although the guys commented that they thought the meat was from a processed source not fresh off the bone

The food is fantastic, service is out of this world, the staff are all too happy to help and nothing is too much, they all seem genuinely happy to be at your service. Highly recommended and will definatly return

Main was good, but pudding a bit of a disappointment. Seated in main restaurant rather than actual pub not given a choice despite reserving in advance and felt out of the way as the waitress was also serving in the bar and so we left alone a fair amount. Worth a visit Visualizza piatti

After having a lovely lunch before the pandemic we were really disappointed with the service and food . The bacon chop was dry and tasteless Lasagna was shop bought and really not very nice and the steak which was ordered as to be medium to rare was well done We really should have said something at the time but as we had waited over hour for the food to arrive decided to give the whole experience the thumbs down. Underwhelming to say the least Sorry we wont be back

Had a great meal over the Valentine weekend, so we were expecting a similar experience. As it was a Sunday we ordered the Sunday lunch. It was not what we expected. Catering pack style meat warmed up, not freshly cooked and carved joint we expected. The roast potatoes could have been Aunt Bessie`s also the veg was cold. It was just like a microwave ready meal.We were going to book a family meal for that weekend, but quickly changed our minds.Sorry Royal Oak an opportunity lost. Maybe other items on the menu were better but we couldn`t take that chance

After booking a table I arrived and there was no table set out for us, it was as if it was an inconvenience. We were provided with a drink and menus, we were not approached once afterwards to ask what we wanted for food or anything. After being sat for more than an hour my year old was getting hungry and bored so wanted to get out of his high chair, we were then asked straight away to pick him up which I get because of COVID but it’s absolutely shocking that we were forgotten about up until that point.
