very delicious dishes that look authentic and are not served as usual. the service is very good. it is recommended to reserve beforehand.

nice little restaurant with ambitious good Chinese cuisine. nice young owners. reasonable prices. only at the ambiente you could still get a bit, but please don't develop into the red china plush ;) try the teig bags!

long searched for something edible near the main railway station. shan dong is the rettung. the dishes are lush and incredibly authentic. therefore has nothing to do with the German-speaking China images.Clear recommended. (shui tsu eating)

the chang dong likes us so well that it is also worth the longer drive.Here you don't get the Asian unity bread that you get unfortunately in most china restaurants. Fortunately, the chang dong also does not offer a buffet price.The choice in the menu is clear what I like very well.The eating is fresh, the sweet snack is always served the meat of good quality.

in contrast to the standard China restaurants, there is no furnishing skip here.Love that the facility is still from the previous owner;-) .the foods are delicious and fresh, the service nice and very endeavors, unfortunately at amateur level. but this is absorbed by the taste and ease of use.Pig meat sour and buddah’s tofu dishes were excellent. I can't remember eating so crisp vegetables at the Chinese.

Shan dong is a simple, but also cozy restaurant on the corner of the lutherstrasse and the Hoffmann-von-Fallersleben-Strasse, at the edge of town. Three times I've dined there for a week. The kitchen's asian, which means Chinese / vietnames. There are tasty dishes served without exception with white rice. There's a small terrace where you should take the traffic cave for granted. The service here is kind and considerate.

After having been spoiled for choice when living in London and Edinburgh, I've been waiting for over 30 years for a good, authentic Chinese eatery to arrive in Kassel. Now, finally, we have two! The other, Hungry Panda, is a great-value snack bar but with excellent and authentic food. Shan Dong, on the other hand, is an attractive and pleasant restaurant but can also boast authentic and tasty dishes. Each time I've been here the place was packed -- a good advertisement in itself but careful timing or a reservation would be a good idea. Highly recommended!

we were three, three have lined up across the card and for the appetizer the much-prised teig bags. everything has tasted quite differently from the chinese, pure from the taste, crisp sweet, great flavor. Special wishes (leave away an ingredient) and degree of sharpness have been taken into account throughout and are a good indicator that is freshly cooked here. as well as in the other reviews, I can only confirm that one is worth visiting here. I don't want to add more. try out yourself, but not be disappointed when the classic "Glutamat taste" remains. you can't find it here for happiness.

I studied in China and lived there for a long time (shan dong and beijing). what I miss most in Germany (with) is eating. outside of düsseldorf it is really hard to get impossible to get authentic Chinese food. the greater my surprise was when I found the shan dong in kassel (where it regularly strikes me) a simple, small and cheap restaurant with wonderful North Chinese cuisine.I admit, I usually order the same: huiguo rou (baks). it is sharp, fat, oily, salty, fantastic! just as it should be. the jingjiang rousi (京酱肉丝): heavenly! jiaozi (饺ن) with different fillings are also super.I hope there are enough guests here who appreciate this jewel so that it will be preserved for a long time...
