I stayed overnight for a Christmas party and had a great experience. The staff were helpful and polite, and the food was delicious. My room was spacious and comfortable. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4, the service a 5, and the location a 5. Hotel highlights: it’s very quiet.

Absolutely stunning hotel. What a beautiful room we had too. Set in absolutely jaw dropping scenery, with a distant view of Manchester lights out of the window. It was a group booking of 10 people. We were given an offer on drinks and cake which we didn't get in the end because it wasn't noted on the email which was quite annoying. Went there for office party and stayed overnight. Reasonably good rooms and the party venue was quite good with good food and drinks option. The breakfast next morning was also quite good. The rooms could be quite difficult to find as it is like a maze in there but otherwise no complaints!! Rooms: 4 Service: 4 Location: 4

Spa a little tired, lacking some attention to detail (mouldy grouting almost everywhere) particularly in steam room and inside pool. Very young teenage staff in spa in bar area, poor customer service skills and professionalism. Had to ask 3 times for wood to be added to fire, water dispenser empty, warm plastic cups straight from dishwasher given with prosecco in, staff don't seem generally happy. Okay value for money, but would prefer to pay more for professional service from staff, or even just a smile!

We settled in and decided to explore the hotel and its grounds. The spa was impressive and featured one of the best outdoor pools we’ve ever enjoyed. Dinner on Sunday evening was good, although my husband’s steak would have benefited from some vegetables—that's just a personal preference. We returned to our room around 8:30 PM and soon discovered we wouldn't be able to stay inside for long. The wedding disco was in full swing, and with our room located directly above the hall, the noise was unbearable.
