This place has a great atmosphere, with all sorts of people enjoying a nice beer and great food. The hosts were very hospitable and didn't mind my amateurish German. We had a throughly enjoyable evening and would definietly go again.

We enjoyed our dinner here, however having booked a table we did not sem to have been expected.The restaurant is a very busy place and the service is ok. The food is typically German. Tasty and hearty. The bill for one gin, one water, one...starter, two mains and one dessert came to euros.

Went there with family during a “weekend trip”. Food is good. Location perfect! Service is really poor. We had to wait a long time to be seated plus it took ages for the food to come to the table. Just like it should be. Uncluttered, simple fare ... just as I hoped it would be. Having been scalped at the Bundestag restaurant the previous evening,I was hoping for a simple, filling dinner which wasn't going to lead me to financial ruin. Sophieneck ticked all...the boxes. Will deffo visit again when in town.

The place is well located and the food is good but waiters don’t care about the clients. We stayed there waiting more than to clean up the table and when we asked for a English menu to order the waiters were super unpleasant. It...seams as they don’t like tourists and as they don’t want to serve you. Really bad experience with the service

Best arrive hungry as portions are large ... and GOOD. Reminded me of food that my Grandmother and Mother sometimes would make at home. Have a beer and a hearty meal to rejunvenate for further sites and scenes in Berlin. Sophieneck has comfortable seating in...a large publike space that is broken up into smaller feeling areas .. . so NOT a beerhall feeling at all. Service was a disaster, we were waiting min for someone to bring us the menu, even we ask a couple of waiters, till the girl behind the bar counter didn't bring us. The food arrived on time, but we waited for the bill min and we asked three waiters. We also saw that one of the waiters showed attitude toward other guest pointing with fingers like she is crazy Food (Boiled pork knuckle) was nice. But pricey. The atmosphere is OK, it is nice interior, old style Berlin restaurant. Most of the tables had reservations.

I ordered the Ukrainian Soljanka Soup and the Berliner Meatball..... both of which was extremely salty. I could only pick at both dishes and I did provide the feedback to my waitress. She was very sweet and said she will provide the feedback to the...kitchen but also said it was prepared in bulk .... which leads me to believe the whole batch of these dishes are not edible! I was further disappointed that even after the feedback and my meal which was hardly touched... that she rounded up the bill and tipped herself EUR

The place had a great atmosphere but unfortunately they were under staffed. Saw people leave without having being waited on. We still sat down and after mins gave up. Two other tables around us also didn’t see a waiter/waitress come by. The table next...to us went and got menus on their own and kept waiting. They were there before us. I waved to the lady that had taken a beer to someone to see if she could stop to at least get our drink order and she waved me off like she couldn’t help me and went to bar to keep washing and cleaning. We really patiently waited but had to get up and leave. The menu looked so good I wish I could have enjoyed a meal and drinks there. I see a couple other review... Visualizza piatti
