I love dining in restaurants that make me feel like I'm at home, and where the food is cooked exceptionally well!

It was lunchtime and we were hungry . We didn’t even know this place was here . So nice to choose something different to eat . Lovely food .

An enjoyable breakfast with tea and have tried many of the European dishes and beers which were all enjoyed by my wife and I on many occasions

Went for lunch today and had some delicious pancakes stuffed with cheese and mushrooms and lovely potato cakes like rosti. The white garlic sauce was a bit like tzatziki and to die for. Exceptional value we will return!

The restaurant was inexpensive, but the food was awful. The pork schnitzel tasted like a tough, shredded leather sole covered in deep-fried bread crumbs. It was difficult to cut and chew. The clientele resembled those at a Salvation Army soup kitchen. The beer, while decent, was served in bottles. I wouldn't even feed my dog at this place.

We decided to visit for lunch after Sunshine had some publicity (advertising) in the local paper. We had not appreciated how distinctive the menu was, with strong Latvian and Russian influences. Lunch was delicious: tuna wrapped in a pancake with sour cream and herbs. Very tasty, and not too filling. Service very prompt and friendly. This place deserves to do well, it is worth a visit to try something different to eat.

Had a takeaway sandwich had parked my car around the corner and were no free tables. The owner asked if I would like to sit in the garden, so nice of her to offer lovely lights garden and very peaceful. I took the sandwich home, £4.90 for a big sandwich. I think it was the sunshine sandwich delicious and well wrapped to keep the bread crisp I’m a chef and usually very picky and never have I ever posted a review in my life but this was exceptional

Queen's Road is rapidly improving with interesting establishments emerging shops, cafes, restaurants. This modest cafe is really lovely with a big variety of Eastern European dishes. The family running the establishment are Latvian and they are most friendly and welcoming. The prices are extremely reasonable and they even go extra mad on Wednesdays when much of the menu has a 50% discount. Tuesday's has a 25% discount for older people. The delicious pork and chicken schnitzel dishes have a large choice of interesting sauces. I had the white garlic which was lovely, creamy and indeed the presence of garlic was noted. There are good fish choices of salmon and sea bass. Vegetarians won't starve...

We have been frequenting this charming cafe for the past year, and even relied on their takeout meals during the lockdown. We were thrilled when we found out they were open for lunch this Saturday, so we ordered our favorite 'Sunshine Schnitzels' with roast potatoes, which were as tasty as ever. Just as we were about to leave, it started raining, so we decided to stay for dessert. The brandy banana caramel waffle was outstanding, with a generous splash of brandy, and my partner enjoyed the honey pancakes.
