"we had dinner end of April in the Taggenberg and it was excellent. We went there with friends, didn't know that there was a restaurant. It is just a bit in a nowhere, outside of Wülflingen, a small town close to Winterthur. The interior is very tasteful and charming. The personnel was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed excellent food, very good vine and a fantastic dessert. All in all to recommend and for sure we are going back again."

Great ambience with excellent cuisine and top service, definitely a star candidate soon. And the wine prices are surprisingly low with a constant (small) markup; finally a couple of innkeepers who understood not to subsidize the food with wine.

We where a big party of 13, and made reservations at Taggenberg. Our table looked great! The hostess offered us drinks on the terrace with a beautiful view! When we where seated, we where pampered with delicious food, starting of course with an amuse bouche, and ended with a delicious dessert. I had Irish Rinds filet, which was fantastic! I can highly recommend it! Thanks team Taggenberg for a wonderful evening!

"First of all, the food is usually what we as Swiss expect in a Nepalese restaurant. The selection offers something for everyone. The service is friendly, but dealing with complaints and feedback is difficult. It's probably due to the mentality of not wanting to face unpleasant situations. What bothers me personally is that the plates always come out of the kitchen with dirty edges. Furthermore, the portions are rather small for the prices paid."

"Wir (2 Erw., 1 Kind) bekamen ein lauschiges Plätzchen im Garten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war richtig lecker. Wir haben ein neues Lieblingslokal in Winterthur gefunden!Je nachdem, für wieviel Personen ein Tisch benötigt wird, bekommt man auch 2 Wochen vorher keinen Tisch mehr!"

"Apart from the tiny portions, the food was served with a lot of dedication. Each course has space on a coffee plate. The alarm bells started ringing for me right from the start when the sentence came, in our case we leave the restaurant feeling full but not overcrowded..... Oh dear, I thought. To be honest, when I go out to eat, I don't want to go to the fridge afterwards. However, you can always order a supplement, which saved me from starvation. It's just not my style to curtsy as a supplicant for a little more food. Don't think everyone does this because they're ashamed. In terms of taste, I found all the dishes very tasty, although not amazing. Somehow nouvelle cuisine reinterpreted. Meat and vegetables cooked perfectly, really very fine. In my opinion, the descriptions of the preparation and origin of the dishes at the table are too much and seem a bit artificial. In terms of price, that's a challenge. A bottle of affordable white wine costs around 60 to 100 francs, well. Together with the meal around 300 francs I think it's too much. But just. It was no different in Switzerland in the 80s. We simply pay too much in Switzerland. Still, I think there are few restaurants that celebrate food with such dedication. If the portions were a little larger, I would try it again. But only when I have some money in reserve again. The whole thing took too long and got on my nerves. I want to eat and not talk to the person I'm talking to for hours. We spent almost 3 hours in the restaurant. Deduction for price and quantity otherwise recommended. The concept seems to be working. Is always well booked. You can also see this in the little-commented reviews of Trüblis. Don't need to react to it. A pity."

"We were there for the first time. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. When we were able to order drinks and crepes after waiting 10 minutes, we had to wait 20 minutes. Everything is fine for me so far. When we had to wait 30 minutes to be cleared away, the weakness of the service became apparent. When we ordered a sweet crepe as dessert while cleaning up and asked about it after another 40 minutes of waiting, we were told that it had been forgotten. A no-go. The crepes were very good but lukewarm (why? ."
