"This small restaurant with bar is located in the basement of an old building as in really old, such as medieval, or nearly. Access is down a few steps, and the area is divided into a front room with bar and a few tables,...and a back room with some more tables which had been pushed into the form of a U for our party of about people; my husband's fitness club outing. One thing that made it cear to me that I would never go there by choice is that smoking is allowed inside. Fortunately there were no other patrons that evening except for our large group which did fill the pace and none of our party smokes, so I was spared that abomination. Our party had prechosen their food with the registration for the event, but I hadn't yet, since the three choices had been wienerschnitzel with either fries or some sort of dumplings which turned out to be somehting like short and somewhat plump noodles, or beef with those dumplings and red cabbage. When I asked the waitress for the menu I only got a funny look and the argument that the food had already been ordered. When I explained that I wished to have a vegetarian meal I got a sort of exasperated look and a well, you can have a salad then. Well, okay ... uhm ... I'd figured if it calls itself a restaurant ... you catch my drift ... anyhow, so salad it would have to be. The furniture, tables and chairs, are old and scratched, and the whole atmosphere is a bit forlorn. My salad, decent sized portion, granted, was served with the appetizer salad that went with the schnitzel meal. Those were delivered when people were still eating their salad; the beef dishes, without an appetizers, arrived when most people had fiished eating their schnitzels. I can see that serving such a decent sized party all simultaneously is a challenge, but again, if you call yourself a restaurant ... Th portions were large, and seconds were offered. The red cabbage I ate most of my husband's second helping of that was deliciousl freshly prepared. The meat, everybody agreed, was very tasty, the dumplings though not what they had expected, the fries good, and not oily. Dessert was ice cream with whipped cream. So, to sum it up, large portions of decent enough food for a very reasonbable price in a quaint place that lacks charm. Not the place for stylish dining, but itsure is differnet. Don't go if you're not a smoker, or if you're a vegetarian"

In wunderschöner Atmosphäre ein ausgezeichnetes Cordon-bleu gegessen. Die neuen Pächter machen das toll - und für SchweizerInnen aus der grenznahen Region sind die Speisen sehr günstig! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Waren heute zum ersten mal seit langem wieder im tam beizli!seit 01.9.2016 unter neuer Leitung!welch ein Genuss!Bauernwürste vom lokalen Metzger nix Großmarkt, Münsterkäse oberlecker dazu frisches knuspriges Brot!sonst ne kleine aber feine Karte mit regionalen Speisen so wie es früher in der Gegend üblich war!Fondue zum vorbestellen,welch Freude und alles zu fairen Preisen!den neuen Wirtsleuten alles gute!ein neuer Geheimtipp

Ein Gewölbekeller in Weil am Rhein beim Theater TAM Ellen heisst die neue Pächterin. Das Beizle ist einfach mit grosser Bar und gemütlich.Das Essen ist bodenständig ... Schnitzel, Wurstsalat und co. aber sehr gut wie bei Oma. Auf Vorbestellung gibts es Käsefondue und Fleischfondue. Wir hatten Zwiebelwaie bestellt... und die war selbst gemacht eine richitge Markgräfler Zwiebelwaie mega lecker ... Salat frisch und sehr gut angemacht. die Schnitzel sehr fein. Weiter so.

... also genauer gesagt eine Raucher-Kneipe mit kleiner Speisekarte.Was eigentlich schade ist, denn wie einige hier bereits geschrieben haben: Es ist im wesentlichen ein uriger Keller, aus dem man mehr machen könnte - zumal die angebotenen Speisen (zumindest die wir hatten) sehr lecker waren (und durchaus als mehr als ausreichend).Die Speisekarte selbst ist klein (was aber ja kein Nachteil sein muss) und eher deftig orientiert - Fischliebhaber kommen hier nicht zum Zuge und wer kein Fleisch/Wurst mag, kann nur auf Münsterkäse oder dem Käsfondue (nur auf Vorbestellung!!) ausweichen.Die Preise sind in Ordnung (für die Nähe zur CH-Grenze) und zumindest beim Schnitzel die Qualität sehr gut.Einen...
