"My mum and I called in to the bar at Poets House on our way home. Despite only having a glass of wine each, we were well-tended too and did not have to wait at all to be served at our table. As always the decor was fantastic and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was also lovely to see the happiness from a 40th party leaving from the function room. Many other people had enjoyed an afternoon tea, and couldn't eat it all. I last visited here for my dad's birthday breakfast- so it was fantastic to experience another time of day."

"a great place in ely. I felt instantly from friendly staff who sit in a beautiful table in the corner, I was so perfect on my own to get fucked away, but I had a good look at everything that went on to keep me occupied. the place is not what I would call instagrammble. they will not find young fashionable people here and it is better for it. it is beautifully decorated, crisp and fresh and feels inviting, more like visiting a friendly house than a stuffy restaurant. the visitors are here to enjoy their evenings with good food and friends, not to make pictures for likes. I enjoyed my bratpork with sweetness. very moist with a lot of crispy cracks. also the last of the heavy, which is always a care in the south. a nice choice. my chocolate mousse was amazing, hadn't had one since brunette. the charges too. with a beautiful coffee. the only thing we left was the starter. only a handful of pouched salad with some tiny pieces of goat cheese and two walnuts. there was a vague drizzling of an art dressing. certainly not worth the price, initially very leave. but everything else was wonderful, plus the suppenings I saw going into other tables looked out and tasted tasty. I must mention the break of the evening. I never felt rushed, everyone had a good break in between, but not as long as I wait. I hate these days, how everything is so eager, pure and out. it was nice to relax and enjoy my food and wine. thanks to many for a real culinary experience. Hopefully if I'm in the opposite I'll visit again and friends this time."

"Lovely Italian restaurant, extremely friendly staff from the moment you walk through the door. Great laid back and relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious and would recommend Prezzo to anyone visiting Ely. Drink, i had a Blackberry Negroni, I've never had a blackberry one before, but this one was delicious and refreshing, perfect for a hot summers day. For starters, I had Italian Hummus. It was deliciously creamy and fresh, served with lemon oil and some really nice fluffy grilled flatbread. Nice and light, not too filling would order this again. Finally for main, I had the newly added Sea Bass with Pesto Gnocchi, the fish was cooked perfectly, nice crispy skin and juicy fillet, lovely. The Gnocchi were perfect, nothing to fault there. Finally the pesto brought the whole dish together, a rich garlicky, oily and fresh tasting pesto. Very nice indeed! I must say that our waitress was lovely, she checked on us throughout the evening to ensure we had everything, got chatting to her about the weather and her GCSE's, best of luck to her. She really seemed to enjoy what she was doing, very nice to see. Would recommend Prezzo to anyone looking for some nice authentic Italian food, also the pizzas looked amazing."

"Having looked at the menu on their website online I ordered a Chef's Special for two costing £27.95 over the phone to collect. When collecting it they said it was £29.95 as they had put the prices up, despite me pointing out the website price they would not honour it at all. It was only the next day did the website prices go up. The staff I dealt with were surly and rude as well, which I had not experienced before in many visits there. With the apparent downturn in customer service and not honouring published prices a return visit will not be happening. Before this I had recommended a visit to all, not now."

"Hey! I discovered the 'Lemon Tree Cafe ' just this morning when I wandered in to Ely for the first time in about a year. The coffee was great, the toasted panatone was awesome and the service was as friendly and professional as it could ever possibly be. In fact, a few hours later, rather than stay on the quay and have lunch at one of the many fine eateries there, I doubled back in to town for lunch at the Lemon Tree and I was certainly not disappointed!
